For each win from a "non-boundaried" school IHSA will add one full point to the number for 2016....so looks like BMac will make it 2.65 for now
Okay, but I thought what you just described was the Success Factor which is already in place. Looking at Edge's post, it sounds like there is now something new that adds full points to the multiplier. No - close.
1.65 is automatic multiplier for open enrolling schools. Additionally, should an OE school reach the finals two years in a row, they are additionally moved up one class.
Example: Althoff's 383 kids multiplied by 1.65. They got whipped in the finals this year and if they play in the 4a finals next year, that means the following year they would be moved to 5a to account for their success.
Got it! And Loyola gets bumped up to 9Aedgy is being sarcastic, but he should propose it to the IHSA
Actually I think Loyola should be playing one of the other top non-boundaried schools... Montini, Naz, or Phillips.Got it! And Loyola gets bumped up to 9A![]()
But not Phillips. They have geographical boundaries and a true enrollment of 559. If you want to transfer into Phillips, you have to pack up and move. Here is the IHSA enrollment page. The no boundary schools have the multiplied number in the rightmost column. Now you see why Simeon always leads the state in number of D1 BB recruits - unstoppable.Actually I think Loyola should be playing one of the other top non-boundaried schools... Wow! And they are in a lower class, I assume. The Wolves won't be far behind thoughI think Althoff will lead the state for the next two years in D1 recruits.
