the last two months I have been scouring the IHSA YouTube archive trying to find games I didn’t know the outcome of. It’s hard to do as I know most of the larger class outcomes of the last few decades but it’s always fun when I can find one that I don’t know the outcome of.
Is there video of the legendary Game by the Zoo? Damn near 100 points on the board or something.
I still have a hard time watching that game after all these years. It just brings flashbacks of watching it from the stands.

Too much of a heart attack game. I'm getting too old for games like that. We all like an exciting game but that one just had a little too much of it.

OK I started watching it again. Finished the 1st Qtr and I forgot that the 1st Qtr was just a regular JCA controlled quarter, except for the successful on-side kick to start the game.
End of 1st Qtr score JCA 7-0 over RB, JCA's ball just past mid field, nothing extraordinary so far to indicated how the game would really turn out. That means there was over 100 points scored in the last 3 quarters.
I believe it was 35-14 at half and even with a 21 point lead JC felt like their backs were against the wall.
Just a crazy game.

Did a search. Definitely a tall order to find a Wednesday day game . Did not see anywhere. I was hoping to find a news clip of it as I remember seeing a JC TD on the news that day; a TD pass over the middle if memory serves me correctly. There are a ton of great JC options on YouTube however. Football and baseball.
I think I remember seeing something from this game recently but I can't remember the source. It could have been a highlight video or maybe just the last several minutes of the game.
Any of you MC guys have that 88 game v SR at the Snakepit. I obviously hated the result, but the location, atmosphere and setting was my all-time fav high school game.
It was so packed that my Dad and I had to sit on the MC side; needless to say, we were pretty quiet except for Sierra's long TD run early in the game.

Dean, that's the definition of 'Ask and You Shall Receive'...well done. The only thing missing when watching that video are goalposts anchored on the Goal Line. Surprised nobody reached over the fence and grabbed the referee's hat around the 37 min mark.
