As Lavar Arrington once said when asked about that same Dan Morgan, "Who's Dan Morgan?"I remember living in Arlington VA, surrounded by VT fans (who were super-hyped as Hokies were great with Vick). There was an audible groan across the bar, except two of us whooping it up. I don't look back at that game with fond memories as UM was not a good team yet had us on ropes. I think Graham made the big defensive stop to get ball back. While a spectacular finish, also a harbinger that we were not a great team at all. I can also say this now, I would love a Dan Morgan LB on our 2022 team. We was a great, hard-nosed player. What a hit on Thompson but pass was just too good.
In the middle of asshat Miami fans....all 15 of them? That is such a bittersweet memory for me. Took my new bride to that game, tailgated with a ton of fraternity brothers... but I bought two tickets that ended up in middle of asshat Miami fans. I was lucky we were not stabbed. Late in that game when I felt we would not win I decided for safety reasons to get my bride out of there. I was walking back to parking lot when that play happened. My hatred for life for all things Miami was cemented that day
I took my grandmother to the game. What a trooper she was. I treasure the picture of her holding a "Love ya Lions" sign. That is such a bittersweet memory for me. You REALLY liked it, huh?I was there. I got wet.
That game was actually fairly packed with fans. I learned there is a big difference between "fans" and "alumni". I clearly remember a big fat (I am guessing Cuban immigrant) who kept yelling the word "we" as in "we are kicking your ***", etc... I finally got in his face and asked what year he graduated, he had no answer so I told him to eff off. We left a few minutes later. In the middle of asshat Miami fans....all 15 of them?![]()

Yeah, I was there, but luckily in a section fairly well represented by PSUersThat game was actually fairly packed with fans. I learned there is a big difference between "fans" and "alumni". I loved it! And I was thrilled that my rental car was not stolen being parked in an Orange Bowl neighborhood. You REALLY liked it, huh?
Yeah, it was Mayock.Great memory. Just out of idle curiosity, who was Don Criqui's color man for the broadcast. It sounds like Mike Mayock, but I don't know for sure.
We got lucky. Ended up parking at the courthouse. It was a bit if a walk, but almost the entire lot was Penn State fans, and the I-595 ramp covered most of it so we were actually able to tailgate in spite of the rain.I loved it! And I was thrilled that my rental car was not stolen being parked in an Orange Bowl neighborhood.
I was there too. Watching with my law school roommate, a Miami grad and our wives. Winner had to buy dinner at a very expensive Coral Gables restaurant. Very happy to pick up that check.I was there. I got wet. It was nuts.
