Was listening on the radio and heard the umpire gave a bat to Cohen that Freeman used and said get it out of here. Anyone know anything else? Pretty funny if it's true.

M2M although they did not show it. Heard the same explanation from Jim that you did. I would like to know more about what was going on, if it is an illegal bat, what the hell is it doing in the dugout and what the hell is he doing trying to hit with it?

I am wondering myself. It is like when Sosa was caught using a corked bat, he claimed it was a mistake because it was in the dugout to use in practice. Of course, everyone knew it was ********.

I wonder if it was truly an illegal bat or if Cohen was just not going to argue it. I assume to be legal it must have some type of stamp or label on it. Hell my 9 year old's softball league requires that the bat is stamped or labeled as an approved bat.

Be interesting to see if Marcello follows up on the mysterious bat.

I think it would have been so obvious that the bat wasn't legal that it would have been caught prior to the at bat rather than just at the end. But maybe not.
