but this tonight is inexcusable. We are playing for second place and a buy in the SEC Tourney and did not show up. I can handle losing double overtime games, but we are not even competitive and we know what happens when the ninja sees teams that are not competitive . see sly croom

....beyond that because I'm a Stans supporter too. It's games like this, however, that make important people like Byrne start questioning.

**** is ridiculous. A blow out loss at home aGAINst Auburn, of all teams. I remember when the two games aGAINst Auburn were gimmies.

Stans, it is time to go.

second half of this SEC season is ridiculous. Stans is going to have to fix a lot of things before next year, but looking at our bench, I believed we are looking at years of disappointment.</p>

...thank goodness State no longer has an A.D. that says **** like "just be patient, it's going to take time" & "if you are looking for a quick fix, you'll be disappointed."

One more game like today & Ninja will be reading Stansbury the Riot Act.

The resident condom salesman on here may be right about Stansbury. I have never witnessed a performance that poor by an MSU team with so much to play for. Stansbury's substitutions made absolutely no sense tonight. No one is playing any defense except for Jarvis and Turner. Osby, Beckham,Bailey, and Johnson can't go 2 seconds without turning it over. Ravern is a sieve on defense. I don't know what is up with this team but I reverse my earlier prediction. I now see us losing out and missing the NIT. Helloooo baseball season.

Byrne forced Stans to choose between getting rid of an assistant or two or go down with his assistants after THIS season. I know we're only a year removed from an NCAA appearance, but then again, we were only a year removed from a bowl win when Byrne pushed Croom out the door. I am in no way trying to equate Stans with Croom because Stans has way more accomplishments than Croom, but Byrne has already proven himself to be proactive in these type of situations. Granted, this would a bigger gamble than firing Croom, and we had better know what we are doing if we do it. But I don't think Byrne is someone who minds taking a gamble.

not hard to decipher our tendencies at this point in the season and, let's face it, we have nothing to do but what we've been doing.

will just tell him to make some changes, and unlike Croom's dumb ***, I bet Stans will.

And Kirby and Cunningham have been here since we had peach baskets hanging from the back board. A change in assistants might do everyone some good- Stansbury and the players.

and have been for a few years now. i get mad reading this board when it comes to basketball. might as well be sheep board. at least we have made progressive moves in baseball and football. Stans needs his feet held to the fire.

Stansbury is not going anywhere, and I think that is the right decision. GB does need to have a discussion with him at year's end, and discuss with him the expectations we MUST accomplish next year, and I think an NCAA tournament appearance should be the lowest our expectations should be . Yes, I know Andy Kennedy has been there 3 years and has 2 NIT appearances, and in his 3rd year will not see post season play, but we have higher expectations at MSU and Stans will be entering his 12th season. 12 years is a long time at any institution

is that he'll take the responsibility for how the team performed and not make excuses like a couple of coaches we used to have here did.

see that much improvement on our bench for having an ncaa tourney team next season. We get 0 help from our bench. I bet Stans is gonna be going through a couple of bottles of pepto bismol everyday.( prolly already is )
