Since Banks, Broomfield, and Langston have been inserted into the lineup, we have had one bad pass play, and that was the Julio TD against Bama. They broke a few tackles too for long gains, but they weren't missed assignments, just poor tackling. I know Mallet is argueably the best QB we've faced, (with props to Keenum), but I don't see him going crazy on us. If we can keep eveything in front of us, we've got a chance. They don't have that great of a defense, and if you stop Mallet, they have a hard time getting the ball down the field. I have confidence that our defense will give us a chance to win this game. I think we can hold them to 3 touchdowns, which is about as much as you can ask for against a passing attack that is very good. I don't think its too much to ask 24 points from our offense to win.

Actually, I saw 2. I saw McElroy hit Hanks from 45 yds out for a TD. He wasn't just open, he was wide-*** open. Don't get me wrong, I like our secondary post-Smith, but they are still extremely young, and I just have a bad feeling that Mallett will expose the **** out of it. He's just too good with the deep ball.

However, that play against alabama was such a perfectly designed play for the defensive play we had called that it was going to be a TD as long as the pass was completed. We blitzed two from that side which left that out route WIDE OPEN... It was just a trot to the endzone from there.

I did it the other night. Guaranteed Tennesse would win the National Championship in basketball. How ridiculous is that!!! Hopefully, not too many will hold this against you...cuz it sure as hell ain't gonna happen.</p>

It was either just a really bad defensive play call or busted coverage by the LB. They were two wide on the left side and we brought a corner blitz. The other defender went with Julio, and the other safty stayed in zone in the deep middle of the field. What blew up was that we left two LBs in what I can only call shallow zone since they neither dropped back or blitzed (or maybe both playing man on Ingram). The corner was easily picked up by both the LT and a blocking back leaving a wide open receiver and plenty of time to throw.

We should have either brought the LBs with the corner or dropped one of the LBs to cover the open receiver. The way it happened we had no chance. Thanks Torbush.

We keep it close early on good defense. Then we give up a long touchdown late in the second half. Then our defense wears out at the end of the third quarter and we end up losing by 17. Then the sheeple can all come and talk about how we kept it close for most of the game and could have won.

Two years. Maybe next year if we get Newton and he doesn't stink up the field like every other hot **** Juco QB in the history of the NCAA. That's when you can start enjoying football again. The only fun thing about this year is seeing the improvment of the team and the attitude our new coach has developed in the program.

They have an explosive offense, but they could have an off day. It's not a stretch to think y'all could win this game.

wretched and Mallet is good.......Barring some miraculous series of events, Mallet will toast our ***..........Now, don't get me wrong, I want the Dogs to win and beat the hell out of those toothless bastards, but realistically speaking, I just don't see it happening.........The Pigs have gotten better and will give LSU all they want next weekend as well.......

I wasted so much optimism on Croom. Mullen has already surpassed Croom in my mind. We are a better team now than at any point under Croom.
Mullen is going to find a way to win this game.
