about Michael Carr. Everyone is talking about how awesome Michael is and I just wanted to know why all the other big time schools didnt offer him. Im not being negative just wondering why?

a) he committed so early it was obvious what he wanted to do and b) he is committing so close to home.

When you get those 2 factors, its often not worth a school's time or effort.

I talked to someone that follows HS football closely, and their opinion is that Carr is better than Tobias, who will likely be the top player in the state next year.

but he could be a superstud and not be reporting other offers because he's simply not interested.

I know that Chris Strong had his mind made up early to go to Ole Miss. A lot of schools wanted him, but he wouldn't field calls or open letters from anyone else, so it was hard to quantify who was really after him.

Carr could be doing that, and it's not unheard of. At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter. He's the same player regardless of where the websites rank him or what offers he reports.

The opposite end of the spectrum is a Todd Cox who reported tons of offers and basically manufactured interest off one highlight tape. In reality, he just wasn't a good football player.

so the recruiting sites didn't have film on him. It's like starting the year off outside the Top 25 and trying to move up. Except, like 8dog said, after he committed the sites quit paying attention.
