Well, as a CHRISTIAN, it is quite embarrassing that these two nimrods would get up there and say such a thing, as if God apparently is a AU fan and will smite any team who plays against them.
It's borderline blasphemous. As ole Lincoln said it wonderfully, they should have been more concerned that they were "on God's side." To do it properly, they should have just given God the glory and let that be that. Instead, they did the look-at-me dance and said "this is God's gift to you."
