I'm not out of my mind. This is important. Bumphis is being counted on as our Percy Harvin. He is being counted on as our explosive badass that changes the game. Mullen uses him like that.

The bottom line is that he is not that player. He is not an impact player YET. Maybe he will be...I doubt it. He doesn't have the speed. He doesn't have the lateral quickness. He doesn't have the hands. He is our best receiver and that ain't saying much. You could argue Clark is a better receiver than him and you wouldnt be crazy.

It's pretty clear. We don't have a go to offensive player and that sucks. But, instead of forcing one that isn't there, spread the ball around. Run the damn ball. Get the ball to Perkins in the slot. Get the ball to Heavens. Figure out a way to get the ball to Berry on special teams. Etc., etc., etc.

Bottom line. I'm sick of Bumphis wasting touches.

next week instead of Bumphis. Other than that, I don't really think we tried to force the ball to Bumphis. Everyone on this board realizes that Bumphis isn't Percy Harvin, but he is the best playmaker we have at WR. In case you didn't notice, Croom didn't sign a legitimate WR in 4 years so the cupboard is a little bare.

on a bubble screen? It's been 3 games and he has touched the ball A TON. Out of all those touches I saw him make a guy miss ONCE. ONCE!!!! The punt return against Memphis early in the game. We have to spread it out. Why is he special? He is in the right space when the play is drawn up. He's good at that. Can no one else be in the right space? Because once he has the ball he can't do ****. That's my point. Why not do everything he does with anyone on the field? I don't see anything special about him. Spread the damn ball.

did you see Arceto on Relf's first pick? He didn't compete for the ball. Clark made a couple of nice grabs but he's a 5'10, 180 pound guy trying to play the Z in the SEC. Heavens can't break any tackles on the WR screen. Bumphis is our best option on that play. Leon Berry struggles to get separation from SEC corners.

There are plenty of things to gripe about, but you are harping on the wrong one. Believe me, if we had signed a couple of decent outside WR's in the last 6 years we would be spreading the ball more. </p>

pass interference on Relf's first pic. It wasn't that he didn't compete for the ball, he went up for it, Peterson nailed him in the back, and AC landed on his chest.

Having said that, that ball needs to be on a rope and thrown into his chest. That's one on one coverage and your WR has inside position. Lofting the ball in there is the worse thing Relf could have done.

as much as he should is because of Bumphis. He feels like he has to get the ball to him in the open field because he is a playmaker. I understand he is the best WR we have. But, ignore Bumphis, run the ball and do what's working.

is because our RBs suck! Elliot blows, Ballard is probably our best back, and if it wasn't for everyone saying Perkins was going to be great, I'd say he sucks too.

Ballard has 101 yards on the season (51 on 1 rush against Memphis). Perkins has 91. Elliot has 93. Relf has 66 rushing yards. Those numbers are TERRIBLE.

I think we should get the ball into Perkins and Heavens hands in the slot more. Get them on the outside, i think they have enough quickness to makesomething happen.n Was Bumphis returning all kickoffs? I thought Berry may have returned some. Regardless, I thought the return man did a horrible job of finding lanes, and were running very timid.

that we dont run relf enough. if you didnt notice he avgeraged 6.6yards per carrylast night. thats 2.3 yards more than elliot!
