South Alabama scares me to death. If we roll through two fairly easy wins agains UAB and Mississippi Southern, South Alabama is quickly setting up to be a trap game for us. This is the first time they have ever hosted an SEC school and they are going all-out for our game. They will be fired up and ready to play.

I'm not saying that they even really match up with us in terms of talent, but if we roll in there thinking we've got it in the bag before we step off the bus, we could be in trouble.

Remember La 17ing Tech and Troy...

I think they could possibly scare us, but I doubt seriously that they beat us.

We will not lose to south Alabama. It won't even be close. The difference in us now vs when la tech and Troy beat us is that we have a guy that can take over the game.

I'm definitely expecting a much closer game than our first two games. We all expect to beat USM decisively, but as bad as they've been, UAB lost to them by 35 points at home last season. That second game could be EXTREMELY ugly.

USA is not bad, but we'll be fine. Our defense should be a matchup nightmare for teams like this that aren't as talented as us, and I don't think their defense will be good enough to stop our offense from scoring fewer than 24 or so points. Which I think will be enough to win.

If that game is that close, then we don't have the team I think we have. I think we win 31-13.

Their QB is going to impress, but their lines aren't even I'm he same galaxy as ours. We will run all over them.

Yea, I agree. I just know I've seen this book before. If we show up, I think we won't have a worry in the world. If we screw around and let them get a few cheap scores and fail to give a crap, then I think it could be a tough night for us.

I just know that game sets up nicely to be a trap game especially if we beat USM and uab like we should and we start looking ahead to lsu.

I think he's talking about La Tech and Troy under Mullen. Both of those games were nail biters.

If you have any belief that ULL can go to Oxford and beat Ole Miss, you have to be a little worried about the USA game.

Troy. But we went on the road to play Troy the year before and about damn near lost the game. They always seemed to give us hell when we played them.

I know a couple of coaches at USA. They do scare me. They're the equivalent of one of these mid-majors in the NCAA tournament every year. They gobble up every single transfer from all sorts of major power 5 schools, and despite what anyone might want to think, they have great coaching.

Their defense is legitimate. Their offense is garbage like it is every year. Very much a trap game. They started to advertise this game months ago. Just this game. This is their Super Bowl.

Feel the same way. They are talented enough to beat us if we don't play well (more then 10 penalties, lose turnover battle, miss FG, shank a punt or two, murphy's law). However, IF we lock in and focus we will be fine.

I think both us and TSUN better watch out that Saturday. TSUN is at home though.

2010 Beat UAB by 5
2011 Beat La Tech by 6 in OT
2012 Beat Troy by 6
2013 Beat Bowling Green by 1

I fully expect to beat USA, but I think it will be close.

Not really saying much, but they're the best OOC team on our schedule. They'll go to the NOLA bowl and win it this year.
