but according to the facebook pages of some former Bulldogs it appears that Nick Turner has passed away. If true, and hopefully it isn't, that makes 2 members of our touted 2002 signing class that have passed too soon. That guy had all the talent in the world. Really sad.

I too did a quick Veazeyesque facebook search for "Nick Turner". There's a comment from a former MSU teammate "Ousin Muhammad" who confirms same. Interestingly, this mooslim poster is none other than #14 Omarr Conner.
Nick lived across the hall from me as a freshman in Cresswell. He was troubled then. He was one of those people you never really felt comfortable around cause he could blow his top at any given point. I recall at least one incident where he was in the hallway raising hell cause he couldn't find his cell phone. He had clearly been drinking. He flipped over the trash cans and punched out the glass on the fire extinguisher. Richard Burch was finally able to pull him into his room and keep him quiet right before the floor RA came down the hall.
I hope this isn't true, but i could tell the guy needed help from the first time i met him.

He came from a good family, was a good kit. Not the troubled type.
Of course back in the day I knew kids like that who were just good at hiding their alter egos, so who knows.
But I know everybody in Brandon was shocked when Burch got into his trouble.

its very sad that it happened but the guy had way more opportunities to be great than most of us get.
