I got rooms at the Homewood suites downtown, hotel looks good and it's close enough to stumble to from the bars. It's a pretty good deal for a decent hotel. you can also get a room at Vanderbilt too. it's right next to downtown. again just put vanderbilt in hotels.com or google Vanderbilt hotels.<div>

We stayed there when we played Vandy in 09,' and I booked there again. It's no frills, but easy acess to Broadway and the parking is only $10 a day.

We are driving up the day of the game and staying the nights of the 30th and 31st. Nashville is having an open street party on Broadway for NYE, with a "guitar drop" counting down the last seconds before midnight. If I wasn't staying downtown, I might opt for the Opryland Hotel, where both teams are staying, especially if I was coming in early on the 29th or before. There are always bowl banquets and signing parties with the teams in the days before the bowls.
