last night heard from a "friend" who is one of the serious donors behind the new basketball facility that Sidney is going to be cleared by the end of the week. Take it how you want, but add him with the way we are playing right now and I am growing some ridiculous wool.

SPY had some serious volume this week, check those puts out.

Guarantee if they rule him eligible they find a violation in the future and rule him out of the NCAAT....

In an event like that, we don't have to forfeit games do we?

The only way you can get nailed is if the NCAA made a decision based on lies and someone in power at the school knew it was a lie. For example, at Memphis where Rose didn't take his own ACT and the Head Coach knew about it. Even though the coach left they still get nailed. It goes under the heading, "if you hire a guy who is a known cheater you get what you deserve."

or even if they're ever going to rule anything? I'll believe it when I see it, but until then I'm just assuming he'll never play for us and if he does, that's a bonus.

but I don't think I ever used the word "hate". I was simply relaying what my guy on the staff thought, also there hasn't been conclusive evidence (ie newton signing w/ state) to prove my guy's thoughts wrong.

And bravo for questioning my internet credibility, if you're ever in a position to know someone that has useful information feel free to let us in, until then keep digging through old threads.</p>

That's exactly the way I feel.

I think you are the only person that ever said anything to that degree. How many times does Newton have to say that he has a great relationship with Mullen and talks to him frequently before you realize that your story has no credit? Im sorry but I don't believe you and your "useful information"

not have said "hate" but you definitely said that he and mullen don't get along. also, i would say that cam saying that he and mullen have a great relationship (a number of times) in interviews is "conclusive evidence."

it's my understanding that the ncaa does not believe calipari knew about it (obviously he did, but you get my point). they believe calipari when he says he knew nothing. if sidney gets cleared, i believe it's possible (hopefully very, very unlikely) that the ncaa can reopen the investigation, find something wrong, and take our wins away and possibly have some form of sanctions moving forward (worst case scenario). in memphis' latest appeal, the ncaa threatened them with more sanctions than just taking wins away if memphis chooses to go down this road. memphis now says the ncaa used that as a threat and is evidently not backing down. let's not forgot the organization we're talking about here, it's the ncaa, they set a new precedent on doing things all the time with no apparent rhyme or reason.

on the threat but the reason the wins were vacated was because Calipari knew that Rose had cheated on his ACT. Now, the NCAA can do whatever it wants, but if they clear Sidney then we will not face any sanctions for playing him no matter what comes to light later. We were no part of any of the investigations and will only do what the NCAA says to do. We will not get hit later.
