I'll give my opinion. I bought 2 baseball season tickets last week. 2 chair backs.

The reason I did it? We are competitive and we play with effort. I don't love watching baseball in general, but I love watching MSU baseball in the left field. I bought the chair backs to support MSU Athletics and in the event we start having large crowds again.

My thoughts on Cohen and the season:

1. Its early, and we have won some good games. We've lost some bad games also, but thats baseball. Its not like in basketball and football where inferior competition should never beat you. See LSU earlier this season.
2. I'm not satisfied with the season so far, but again its early.
3. In year 3 we went to a Super Regional. Let that sink in deep down in your minute brains. Thats a Sweet 16 in year 3 of a program that was in god awful shape. In the 10 years before Cohen took over we had a small number of players drafted in the top 10 rounds. We've exceeded that number in the short time he has been here.
4. We play with extreme effort. Much like our football team and nothing like our basketball team. Thats not a shot at Stansbury, but its the reason we needed a change.
5. Cohen gets until year 5 regardless of anything anyone says. That is unless there is something out of the ordinary that happens. If we make a regional as a 2 seed this year, then he gets until year 6. In that scenario he has to do better than a 2 seed in year 5 to get to season 7 automatically. Now if he gets a 2 seed next year and takes a to a super regional, then you add a year automatically.
6. If we don't make an NCAA regional this year or sneak into one and then do the same thing in year 5, then I'll say its time to make a change or lay down very specific expectations for year 6, or he should be done.
7. How could any of you settle for the mediocrity that was MSU basketball for 14 17ing years, but can't acknowledge the effort and improvement of MSU baseball as a whole the last 3.5 years? I don't understand it. And make no mistake, over the whole 14 year period in basketball we were extremely mediocre. Success in sports is measured by the post season. That doesn't mean the regular season doesn't count, but you can overcome a sub par regular season by playing late in the year.
8. That is all. And I don't care if you reply. Just don't be 17ing dumb.
