But, out of curiosity, how long has google been sporting the "I'm feeling luck" search that will just take you to the page you search for instead of the list of pages?

at least back as far as the beginning of the war in Iraq. i know at one time if you typed in Weapons of Mass Destruction and then clicked I'm Feeling Lucky, it would take you to a spoof that Google's administrators had created.

Joking. I don't recall anyone here asking your question before.

Seriously, the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button has been a part of Google as long as I remember.</p>

I knew it had probably been there for a while, I have just never seen it before. Even now, when I go to the google search page it doesn't show up (i'm on firefox). The only reason I even noticed it today is because I just made an iGoogle start page.
