I'm rolling with Cohen's statement.

I don't think this team has given up.
-------------------
They just don't have what it takes to win in the SEC.
Blame that on coaching, talent, or whatever. Pitching comes to mind.

This is the toughest baseball conference in the country.
But I'm giving the team credit for doing the best they can, it's just not good enough in the SEC.

Somegurus pre-season predicted that we'd finish last in the SEC.
Maybe they had some stones of pregnostification.

I can't tell if he quoted every single line in your post, just what's below the dotted line, or if you commented your own words under each quote. Quotation marks would be helpful. They look like this """". They are the same button that has the apostrophe symbol(') you just hold down shift and the "'s appear. Sorry for being a smart ***.

I'm just shocked to know there's one on this board.

My intent was to paraphrase, not provide a direct quote.

But here are the quote-marks I'll offer: ...."given up."

Below the line of dashes, the remarks are entirely of my own creation.

Clearer now?

Picked preseason to finish last in the conference (or at least the West Divison). Next to last in the conference in hitting (0.001 ahead of GA), next to last in the conference in ERA, last in the conference in fielding, next to last in conference standings. ***** all we want, it all seems to fit.

They didn't look like they had quit last week against Auburn, and they gave it everything they had yesterday against Vandy (one strike away from winning). I don't think they've quit. I just don't think they're very good, especially the pitching staff (incredibly similar to last year).

Tough conference? Defending Nat'l Champ LSU has gone from 11-4 in the conference to 12-15, and is in deep danger of missing the SEC Tournament. We can knock them out. Right now, their pitching staff looks very similar to our pitching staff. No lead will ever be safe for either team. Too bad the series in is BR.

10 years ago who would have ever thought that we would have an MSU-LSU series in which the teams were a combined 1-23 in the SEC in their last 24 games. WOW!

A backyard neighbor, as he was out walking his dogs. An LSU PhD, he is.

How our mighty teams have fallen. From the top to the bottom, isn't that long a trip, apparently.

in terms of baseball suckitude worthiness. That's what Ole Miss fansdo - try to be cool by association...or, eh, rivalry.

Maybe Georgia's a better fit, because we have actually been to Omaha lately. <= Another slap at da rebels.
