I'm so tired of seeing the Cowboys underachieve. What is the deal?

For the longest time I felt like Romo got some undeserved blame, but now I think they just need to go a different route at QB. Garrett should go too. Maybe they could work out a trade to get Peyton Manning after the Colts draft Luck**

Notre Dame 'underachieving' these days? At some point after (15 years), it's not underachieving anymore.

but he is by no means a great one. I don't see Dallas ever getting back to national prominence with Tony Romo at the helm. The problem is that the QB is god-like in Dallas, deserved or not, so they pay a ton of money right now to a guy that is not worth it. They could get a cheaper QB and focus on defense but that's not really the Dallas way. They need to get rid of Romo, like yesterday.

I heard on the Saints radio broadcast earlier that today was the first Sunday (during football season) that a ND QB wasn't throwing a pass in the NFL since the 1940s.

They're just not that good. I've been a Cowboys fan forever, but their secondary is probably the worst I've ever seen in a Cowboys uniform. That Defensive Line is probably above average, and the linebackers are ok, but that secondary is awful.<div>
</div><div>Then, everytime you turn around a playmaker was getting hurt this season, and their offensive line is terrible. I'm actually shocked they went 8-8 after stepping back and looking at it.</div>

But he's the least of Dallas' problems right now. The Giant's offense didn't miss a beat against that Rob Ryan defense.

But I'd say he could help Dallas get to the Superbowl as much as Eli did in '07. Make some good plays, let the rest of his team win the game, and then get MVP.

Until Jerry dies, I don't see things getting better. Firing Jimmy Johnson for Barry Switzer? You draft Anthony Fasano in the second round? You pass on Stephen Jackson because you knew Jones would be there in the 2nd round? You pass on Rashard Mendenhall to draft a 3rd down back in the first round? I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Then, he stays with players way too long. Should have gotten rid of Barber before last season while you could get something for him, the boy runs hard but like a cartoon character (wheels are spinning but he's not going anywhere). Newman has sucked for 2 seasons now, shouldn't have been brought back.

Jerry is a football idiot and until he dies or gets out of the way, we will suck. He makes all that money, has all the resources in the world, but won't bring in a great coach and give him free reign because he thinks he knows something about football, which he obviously doesn't. No excuse for this at all.

Look at his coaches... Fires Jimmy Johnson for Barry Switzer and runs off Bill Parcells... two GREAT coaches. Parcells had them in the playoffs regularly and Johnson has a Super Bowl ring... but he ran them off because they did what THEY wanted to do and not what JERRY wanted them to do. Both coaches had terrible relationships with Jones. That's why you have had guys like Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett... two guys that will do what Jerry wants them to do, and until Jerry is either gone or lets the coaches he hires do their jobs and not what he wants them to do (he is a businessman, not a football coach), they will not be relevant. <div>
</div><div>Also, I have never seen more complex coverages than I have with Rob Ryan's defenses... even when he was at Cleveland. The defense continues to look confused out on the field... probably because they don't know what the hell is going on. When you have all these complex coverages you try to throw together in practice and don't work them consistently where guys know EXACTLY what to do (since good defense is all about being in good position to REACT and not THINK), you get what you saw from the Dallas D tonight... confusion and zero motivation. </div>

...Normally, I'm against the Death Tax. However, if what's being said here about his sons is true, they need to find some way to make them sell the franchise after Jerruh dies so they can get an owner in there who actually hires a competent General Manager and Head Coach.

One of the biggest things that pisses me off about Jerruh is when he makes his way down from the press box to the sidelines when the Cowboys are in a close game in the 2nd half. Does he really think he 's inspiring the players to win the game? No, every time he makes his way down, they lose.

Dear Jerruh,

The luxury box is there for a reason....know your place, which is to sit there with your drinking buddies and your trophy wives and get blind drunk on Mimosa's.

They have won 1 post season game since 1996. Wasted high draft picks, bad FA additions, and a delusional fan base.

1. offense line is pretty poor and young. particularly left tackle. Free is a goose. Right tackle is a rookie.
2.secondary is as bad or worse than anyone in the league. Newman is old, jenkins is hurt every other play, and they safeties run like fullbacks. we have broken coverages about once every 4 plays.
3. we have not had a running game due to #1 and backs that can't stay healthy. We got Demarco Murray going and he got hurt....back to square one. Felix is a 3rd down back period.
4. we have not been able to finish with a lead in the 4th for about 3 years (marion barber got hurt and changed). partly due to #1,#3, and some crucical qb play. Run the ball, grind the clock. we lost tons of games we should have been able to win with a lead in the 4th this year.
5. we draft like complete and total douche bags. Mostly Jerry. we might get one decent pick out of each draft....last years demarco murray or Tryon Smith (LT). I watch tons of college games and know who is on the boards for kiper and mcshea. when we draft....I am usually like 17ing who??????? Oh he played at North Carolina A&M and was hurt his junior and senior seasons but he's has the size....yeah like bobby carpenter????**

So if you hate the cowboys, do not fret. As long as Jerry is incharge we'll still be tasering ourself in the balls. after he is dead and gone.....then his son (stephen)will take over and it'll be like a three stooges revival (bloodlinesku). As long as Jerry is in charge Romo is staying.....I myself am going to wish fora peyton manningtradein one hand and poop in the other.........see which one fills up first.

Until he signed Tommy Kelly, Al Davis had the reputation of being a great football man. While he was the owner, he began as football coach and he was a real football guy.

Jerruh is an Oil Man who thinks, because he played college football in the 1960's, he is also a football guy. Memo to Jerruh, "You're not".</p>

Are the two Ryan brothers the most overrated coaches in the NFL? I know they've both gotten a lot of hype, partly because of their dad. But from what I've seen, these guys suck. I thought their dad was overrated too, but he was at least a decent coach (who had a LOT of talent on that 85 Bears defense).
