I haven't been a huge Mullen supporter but this is some brutal **** right here... From the game notes:

The Bulldogs’ six losses have all come in conference, against teams ranked 1, 2, 3, 12, 13 and 24 in this week’s Bowl Championship Series standings.

All losses in 2010 and 2011 have come against ranked teams
And to think... we SHOULD (ok could have) beat Auburn both years, and USC this year and ARK last year...

either reach or maintain those rankings & we certainly didn't maintain our preseason ranking.

Memphis, Louisiana Tech (in OT), UAB, Kentucky, and Tennessee-Martin.

While we have lost to some very good teams, we have only beaten bad teams. I'm not complaining, since we're at least beating the teams we should beat. Plus, we're an inch against Auburn and a pass deflection against SCar from being right where we were last year.

It would have been great to beat either AU or SC, but just beating everybody we should is a fantastic step forward. I don't see how we were supposed to skip past this rung right into the national championship picture. It should be noted that this is as much due to excellent scheduling policies as it is progress on the field. Getting to a bowl--any bowl--every year is the right path. Do that for 5 consecutive years and then maybe we can start demanding upper tier bowls. This doesn't mean we shouldn't do everything we can to win the SEC every year, it just means we should keep it real as we evaluate where we are.

Which inch are you talking about? 1: The 9yd 35" 1st down for Auburn where they eventually scored a TD 2: The inch Ballard needed on his dive to go over the pylon 3: Relf's last run. We were actually an inch away 3 times in that game and none of it went our way. 1: Obvious blown call 2: Judgement call, could've gone either way 3: Totally our fault.
