Got the Mitsubishi
WD-73740. 73" screen, DLP 1080p 3D rear projection set. Not a flat panel, but it is only 19" deep. I didn't need a flat panel (LCD/LED/Plasma)as I have a cutout in the wall in my man cave upstairs built deep enough for my original big screen that was something like 3 ft deep. Saved a lot of money and got a bigger screen getting the rear projection set instead of a flat panel. Bought it from walmart.com so I could return it to a local store if I needed to.
Just turning it on and no adjustments other than turning the contrast down to 50%, I love the picture. Watched a little NBC HD through DirecTV, and it's SO clear. Haven't got 3D working yet, but it was getting late when we finally put it in.
They make a 65", 82", and
92"inch versions, too. The 73" just fit inside my wall cutout by 1/2" on either side, otherwise I would have bought the 82" or maybe even the 92".
