I'm very encouraged by the performance we gave tonight.

I'm not pleased with a loss and I'm not satisfied with the offense. But...what we saw tonight is Croom's willingness to actually change the offense to give us a chance to be competitive. We saw a ton of "wrinkles" tonight that we should have seen against Auburn. After what I saw tonight...we actually have a chance. We can beat Vandy, MTSU, and Arkansas. If we really get our **** together then Ole Miss and UT are POSSIBILITIES, still longshots, but possibilities.

Honestly, the defense was absolutely terrible tonight, that's not really Croom's responsibility. If I don't give him credit for the defense last year, then I can't give him credit for poor defense this year. The D-line was terrible. After what I heard from unnamed sources last year about our new D-line coach, I expected them to be terrible last year. We had alot of talent upfront last year and my source was wrong but I won't go into that. But after what I saw tonight, my source was right. It's understandable if you are outmanned upfront, but there are a lot of things you can do scheme wise and/or technique wise to lessen the damage. We didn't do that tonight. That's why we lost.

Don't blame the offense tonight. Blame the defense. Blame the defensive line.

Croom doesn't coach to win. He coaches not to lose. Add to that the zero offensive and special teams improvement in 5 years and....FIRE HIM.

if that guy had played more the first few games, your record would be different.
He played almost the whole second half in that wonderful performance at LaTech.

LSU would cover. I'm not pissed. I'm very encouraged. I just can't stand you and your dumbass-ness. Truthfully, though, I get a kick out of your postings, most of the time. You're so smart.

I felt a little better after tonight's performance. Why the hatred? He should still be fired but at least he is making an effort to change.

half would have been absolutely huge. We had the momentum and everything. It was a poor decision, no doubt. Even if we had thrown a pick 6 there it would have been the right decision to try for 30 more yards.

I don't know that we are getting better. Because, just like last season appears to be a fluke, this game could be a fluke. However.....

I will say that the team tonight beats La Tech and beats Auburn.

I thought this was actually the best performance of our year so far. That doesn't it mean that it is the proverbiable moral victory or some **** like that. I just thought we played the best we have played all year. We might have pulled one out of our ***. We might be improving. I have no idea.

the coaches are giving us a chance to win. Sure, Croom should be fired, but I feel a hell of a lot better after a 34-24 loss than a 34-3 loss. At least the offensive side of the ball LOOKED competent.

Love the storylines. Wouldn't buy a copy but would peek if in a distant city or if I knew that nobody else was looking. I've really been wrestling with the martial arts question. Karate or Judo? I just can't decide.

Meanwhile, watch out, or I'll kick all of ur asses.

Encouraged? Really? After 5 years you are able to settle yourself for being ENCOURAGED? WTF? All this did was bought the Walrus more time. The best thing that could have happened to us last night was to be blown out by 40 points. That would have tightened the noose on Croom just a little more.

Instead you jackasses are "encouraged". Just like the rest of this pathetic of an excuse for a fanbase we have who knows only how to accept mediocrity for a program. Just remember....it takes 5 years for you to be "encouraged".

That is 17ing pathetic.

FIRE CROOM!

actually improved but we appeared to play a better game. The problem is it appeared to me that the LSU coaches, players, and fans were sort of just going through the motions.

every play and the result would have been the same. It was a good peformance against an uninspired LSU team. Was the game ever really in doubt though? I had no hope for State to win especially after Croom's decision at the end of the first half.

I am so over Croom. I want him gone. He doesn't even have confidence in the offense he loves so much.

He pulled the same crap at the half against Kentucky and Ole Miss in '06.

At Ole Miss that year we had 2:39 on the clock and one timeout but chose to run out the clock.

It's mind bottling, really....

for him. Fla. when Zook got Croomed, only to do nothing else. UK last year, only to scrap the offense that showed some imagination. Just another 1 night of offense for the year. He'll probably pull 2 or 3 more games out of his *** and then point to hanging with LSU as why he should stay.

I do think we've got a chance to turn this thing around over the next month. Things are at least set up for us to bounce back.

We got a bye week before hosting Vandy (who'll be coming off a possible top 25 battle with Auburn). Then Tennessee who's having almost as bad a year as we are. They also have a tough game at Georgia the week before us, and may also be looking forward to Alabama the next week. Next is MTSU - which if Croom has this team focused better than the LA Tech game, we should win this. And finally Kentucky - who again has a tough game at Florida and host Georgia following our game.

So this section of our schedule couldn't be set up much better. The toughest team we face may be Vandy, and we've got a bye week here that hopefully helps us prepare for that. I don't really have high expectations, but the opportunity is certainly there if these players want to step up and turn things around.

But everyone was. Hell after the first half people started piling out of the stadium. It was 3/4 empty with 5 min to go. Miles looked like he was just ready to get off the field and catch the end of the GA/AL game on tv. Everyone knew the game wasn't near being in doubt even being down 10.

You think the stadium would have been empty at the end with a 10 point lead if TN was in town? GA? AL?
