I know that both teams played very vanilla opening games last week. Memphis just couldn't muster the the ability to stop even our vanilla game.

However, I'm wondering if AU, in efforts to play as vanilla as they could, let USU slip up on them to the point of almost beating them thus making them play real ball in the last 2 min of the game. I'm wondering which team we'll see tomorrow. I'm worried about the team that showed up in the last 2 min of their game.

Auburn got dominated on both lines by USU, and put up a total of 78 rushing yards. Keep in mind that it wasn't just a last minute drive that won the game. They were down 2 touchdowns, and the only reason they won is that not only did USU run out of gas, but had they had a special teams unit that wasn't the worst in the country, even that first 2 minute offense TD would not have won the game, the onside kick was just... lucky.

We'll be fine.

....after following MSU for so long, I'm still trying to shed the old mentality. A win tomorrow will go a long way in changing that!

that Auburn is vulnerable right now especially on defense but really on both the offensive and defensive line. Anyone who watched their game could see that. They are talented but young and its going to take them a little bit to grow up. Now truly I could make NO real judgement about our team from week 1 other than we did to Memphis what we should have done to any inept team we play at this stage with our program. I gathered nothing from that game however that would really let me know if we are currently good enough to take advantage of Auburn's vulnerability. Much will be found out tomorrow. I will say though that if we can't beat Auburn right now, even on the road, then we might as well go ahead and prepare for a loss to LSU Thursday night because Auburn is not in LSU's league right now.
