Other than Tebow, I can't imagine a player fitting the mold more than Smith did. What kind of offense did we run back then?

all three years. Option I as a soph. Emory Bellard's inverted bone as a Jr. Then Rockey's option, mostly out of the I, as a Sr.

Sleepy would be great in the spread too. So would Bond.

Smith had the speed. Sleepy was the most rugged QB I have ever seen play for MSU. Except maybe John Bond - they're pretty close.
