<span style="font-weight: bold;">You simply cannot sit there at this time in the game, knowing that the ump wants to go home, and take any pitch that is remotely close to the plate. You cannot be sitting on a pitch and just taking everything else, assuming that the pitcher will sooner or later give in with a fast ball. This game and the Saturday game with Georgia when we had the bases loaded, nobody out in the bottom of the 9th, and did the same thing. You would think that our guys would learn from that. NO. Not us. What I can't get is that Conner Powers comes up when we really need him the most and he and Cody Freeman, who are supposedly two of our best players, strike out as well.
It is going to take us at least 5 years to get our program back on track. We are really on a downward spiral and we can't get the key hit, or the key out, to win games. Our team reminds me of our Ole Miss played years ago, especially against us. Even if they were ahead of us in the 8th inning, I knew that we would come back and beat them, and we usually did. We are playing just like that, can't hold leads, can't get a hit from our veterans, make the critical error, have stupid base running mistakes, etc.
Don't know when it is all going to turn around, but I will tell you this: We had better make a huge improvement by the end of the year or Cohen is not the guy I thought he was.
