I had a glimmer of pleasure. Kiffin was being interviewed and the last thing he said was that he told his team he wanted them to experience joy with a win. The reporter asked him "are you experiencing joy right now?" He replied with "I am" and got a little emotional and a far off stare in his eyes like he was about to have to make a decision with his mind that his heart didn't want to do. Wherever he goes, part of him will hate the decision. That gives me a little joy myself.

He has been recognizing the assistants more and more… almost as if he’s finding a way to establish a continuum for when he announces he’s leaving.

I guess it is true what they say. Misery really does love company.

Probably a better chance of him staying after today's win, and going to the playoffs, than if they'd lost. Assuming his mind wasn't already made up, which is not a good assumption.

He is a complete piece of crap. The whole bit about pretending like that scuffle was all our guys because his players are there to play football should have gotten his bitchass laughed pff the field. If Lebby had any balls (he doesn't) he'd have called him out for that BS. Kiffin may be a football savant but he's also an enormous puss.

Agreed and his son's Oxford High team is beating Tupelo by 2 TD at half. The win and they'll play for a State championship. Things are going well for him indeed.

I really just don't have the hate for the guy a lot of you apparently do. Leach seemed to genuinely like him and that went a long way with me.

He's entertaining and immature (much less so now) and a great coach. I like him.

And I really hope real soon he's not coaching in Oxford. Cause those guys suck.

It’s honestly hard for me to hate or love anybody in the modern environment.

Ole Miss players? I don’t hate or love them more than MSU players. All 22 guys on the field at all times are just there fulfilling the terms of their employment. Just like any of the rest of us. They wear the jersey they are paid to wear. Coaches? Same thing. I have no doubt the coaches care to a certain extent about their current rosters and vice versa, but that gets reset every year. It’s all well and good, until you have to do what you’ve gotta do to not get fired, or the next place offers you a $500k raise. Everyone’s just out for themselves. The emotional ties of players loving their school and fans and vice versa is completely dead.

I felt that way before yesterday. His antics were way too much. He is still immature. 17 him.

ETA: I don’t hate him, but it’s obvious he will gladly steer clear of the high road.

I mean, in the negotiations, yeah, they're all out for themselves. But once a team is put together it's pretty obvious most of the players on functional teams come together and work for their common goals. At least for that season.
