I project Pitt finishing up at 18-13....8 games left, 4 home, 4 away, then the ACC tourney.

Got that important SHU win at Georgetown, Hoyas are really on life support if that at this point

Purdue got the win over Iowa and as I said on 2nd thought, I like this result as it gives RU another win over a projected tourney team

Minny beats Wisky...sort of torn because I want Wisky to stay top 30 but Minny for now may be in the field which makes RUs win over them better

Pitt losses to Notre Dame....neither team a threat for a bid but Pitt probably not going to stick in top 75 as a q1 loss when all is said and done

Vandy shocks LSU...LSU is getting in but what that does is sort of chip the value of a LSU win down, its a plus for RU and a plus seeding wise

Providence keeps coming back from the dead and upsets Creighton, could have a seeding effect, Providence has some nice wins but they have 3 Q3 losses and a Q4 to 293 Long Beach State

Duquense over St Louis...I cannot see how the Bilikens can get in now and the Dukes really have no shot either

Virginia over Clemson but Cavs desperately in need of quality wins

Florida over Georgia...not a good result for RU

Ole Miss over South Carolina...Gamecocks all but done now

St Bonnies clubbed George Washington...can we somehow get the Bonnies inside the top 100 to make it a Q2 loss..would be huge

Oklahoma State over TCU....Frogs are basically cooked at this point

Memphis over Temple...Tigers need to keep winning alot

NC State over Miami....Wolfpack keep longshot hopes alive

Utah State over UNLV...Aggies hanging around the bubble last 4 in/last 4 out grouping

Bubbly games for today, ordered by potential impact. Bolded who to root for.

USC at Arizona
Arizona is a 100% lock, but USC is squarely on the bubble. A win today would be huge for them.

Cincinnati at Wichita St
Cincinnati is another team squarely on the bubble looking to pick up a really important win.

UCLA at Arizona St
Arizona St is on the outside looking in, a loss here would really dent their hopes.

Stanford at Utah
This is a pretty low impact game as Stanford looks to get in even with a loss today. But, as Utah is ~0% to get in and Stanford could always go on a slide, it would still be better for Stanford to lose today.

Not impressed by Stanford's resume. This loss would hurt them. Also not impressed by Wichita State..while they have 7 Q2 wins against middling teams they still don't have a q1 win. Cincy also struggling with quality wins but i think the 3 q3 losses kill them

BAC, great job with this new feature, added to your incredible NCAA bubble analysis. I will start looking at the bubble teams in another week and throw out some thoughts. Still think we are in great shape. We have to get our confidence back , a home game has a tendency to do that , and then go beat Ohio State, so that the RAC is jumping for the Illinois and Michigan games at home back to back. Not likely we go 4-0 but if we get Northwestern and Ohio State , our chances will be greatly increased and our confidence will be back.

they must have a hit 3 on their last possession to win it. I still Wichita is no lock and is going to be in trouble. They do not have a Q1 win, their best wins are VCU and Memphis are teams that can very easily not make it as well.

good news though Tulsa lost at UConn, Drops them to 7-2 now 1/2 game behind Cincy. Tulsa doesnt have the best of resumes in a crowded AAC field even tho they have wins over Houston, Wichita, Memphis.

NJIT lost but Bryant won

Stanford losing is huge. They don't have many wins of note. Ditto for USC...Cardonal have a bit more cushion both teams have to find quality wins

Only bubble impact game for today is
Davidson at VCU
A loss for VCU here could move them from the good side of the bubble to the bad side.

On RU opponent front, we have
Niagara at Manhattan

Maryland at Illinois as well but don't think it really matters who wins there.

Also USC has to play at Arizona State, a loss there for either teams puts them in trouble.

Stanford who has that win over Oregon but nothing else, is at Colorado and then hosts the Arizona schools...probably in a situation they need to win 2 of those 3 to stay comfortable...tough task

Bubbly Games for Saturday 2/8 (ordered by impact)

Minnesota at Penn St
West Virginia
at Oklahoma
Alabama at Georgia
Stanford at Colorado
Providence at Xavier
Virginia at Louisville
Vanderbilt
at Mississippi St
Drake at Northern Iowa
Michigan St at Michigan
Kentucky at Tennessee
Texas Tech at Texas
East Tennessee St at Mercer
Wake Forest
at Syracuse
Arkansas at Missouri
USC at Arizona St

Note, I bolded Michigan St above because them winning would be good in terms of making the bubble weaker. However, we probably want Michigan to win for RU strength of schedule and also for staying near the top of the league.

Other Big Ten Games
Purdue at Indiana
Nebraska at Iowa

Other Rutgers Opponent Games
Central Connecticut at Bryant
Towson at Drexel
St Bonaventure
at Duquense
New Orleans at Stephen F. Austin
Jacksonville at NJIT
Georgia Tech at Pittsburgh
Seton Hall
at Villanova
Lehigh at Lafayette

Games to watch today

Seton Hall at Nova....would be a huge road win for the Pirates and all but secure their spot at the top of the BE

St Bonnies at Duquense...tough one but Bonnies have been playing well, hope they can somehow win enough to sneak into top 100

Jacksonville at NJIT....every little bit helps

Kansas at TCU....an upset by the Frogs would keep them in contention

Michigan State at Michigan...root for Michigan so they can get into the top 30

LSU at Auburn....hope for as many losses as possible for LSU

Kentucky at Tennessee...do not want the Vols to make a run, go Blue

WVU at Oklahoma...key game here, we want Sooners who are right around the bubble to not pick up a quality win. Lets go Mountaineers!

Virginia at Louisville....would be a huge boost to Cavs profile, go Cards

Minnesota at Penn State...tough call here, on one hand RU benefits if Minny is a tourney team, on the other hand PSU winning as much as possible makes RU's win over them look even better. I would root for PSU here

Stanford at Colorado...Go Buffs...another loss for Stanford and they are getting closer to the bubble line

Gonzaga at St Marys....Go Zags, want to see St Marys lose their way out of the tourney. A win here almost locks them in.

UCLA at Arizona...Zona looking close to lock but losing here knocks them somewhat

SMU at Temple...Mustangs would not appear to be a serious contender but have a gaudy 16-5 mark and losing at Temple would probably kill any realistic chances

De Paul at Georgetown...Hoyas are in the last 8 out line so do not want to see them putting a run together. Go Demons.

Boston College at Virginia Tech....Hokies hopes are faint and a loss here might extinguish them. Go Fredo!

Rhode Island at George Washington.....Rhody putting together a solid resume but this loss would hurt so. Its one of those teams that if RU struggles down the stretch they will be competing with. Rams can not lose enough going forward

Georgia Tech at Pittsburgh....Panthers need to just win some games to push them back as a Q1 game

Lehigh at Lafayette...every win counts for RU opponents

Florida at Ole Miss.....Gators in the field for now but this loss would hurt. Go Rebels

Purdue at Indiana...tough call since we beat both but need Purdue to stay in top 30....BOILER UP!

Arkansas at Missouri....Razorbacks in for now but this would be a bad loss that would put them closer to the bubble

Texas Tech at Texas....Red Raiders are looking solid even with warts while Texas is clearly out for now however a Longhorn win today does put them back in contention so we need Tech to pull this one out

South Florida at Memphis....Memphis is right near the bubble so we need the upset here

Drake at Northern Iowa...would not hurt at all for UNI to lose games and put a crimp in any at large chances if they do not win the MVC tourney

Central Conn St at Bryant..again every win counts and losing to a 1-22 school would be pretty tough on Bryant's net

New Orleans at SF Austin....SFA has to keep winning

Alabama at Georgia....Tide hopes are in danger and a loss at Georgia will all but snuff them out

Dartmouth at Yale...Yale took a loss to Harvard which hurts any at large chances, any other loss during the Ivy season will permenantly end their chances

Providence at Xavier...tough call here because both teams are on a run. Xavier looks to have stronger resume at the moment so lets root for them to keep the Friars from going on a big run to get into the field

Wake Forest at Syracuse....Cuse does not have anything on their resume to suggest they can get into the field but losing at home to Wake would put a serious nail in their coffin

Vanderbilt at Mississippi State....Bulldogs hanging around the last 4 in grouping so a loss here to Vandy would be brutal.

San Fransisco at BYU....another key team from WCC that RU will be competing for a spot or for seeding. Hoping that Dons can pull the upset

Boise State at Utah State....if Aggies can win out, they can seriously put themselves back in play so a loss here would really put a crimp in their resume

USC at Arizona State...tough call here but Sun Devils who have a win over Arizona also have some negative stuff. USC has a so so resume but in the field as of now. A loss today though will hurt them. Lets go with ASU and hope they do not make a run. I would like to see USC lose as much as possible.

mixed results so far

Auburn in a thrilling game came from way back to force overtime and then seemingly when they had the game in control, gave up the lead but hit a shot in the last second to win.....2nd straight loss for LSU so potential seedings implications vs RU

Temple beat SMU so I think SMU faint hopes are even fainter.

BC beat Va Tech so its safe to say you can stick a fork in the Hokies

Kansas beat up TCU

URI drubbed GW

Gtown beat De Paul

Pitt wins so thats good

Florida loses at Ole Miss..bad loss for Gators who may move to last 4 in line

Oklahoma may move in the field with the win over WVU..big much needed quality win for them but they still will need more

Purdue tops Indiana to add to their resume. Indiana sort of looking very ordinary now

Dayton holds off St Louis so that will end any shot the Bilikens had to position themselves for an at large

that Seton Hall win is overflowing with goodness..its likely they are a 2 replacing WVU at this point. They still have an outside shot at a 1 if things break right

Rutgers has an enormous win on the resume

Looks like Rutgers is continuing to get help with common opponents and bubble teams continuing to not perform well. Besides Oklahoma winning it seems like everything favored Rutgers today. I am thinking we are closer to the just 3 more wins needed to getting Rutgers in the tournament.

big result in RU's favor....Arkansas loses at Missouri. Razorbacks down to 4-6/16-7 and their resume really is based on beating Indiana..thats it. Next best wins are fading Bama and Tulsa. The SEC profile as a whole is going down. Kentucky and Auburn strong but now LSU two losses in a row and Fla, Arky, Bama (losing to Ga in 2nd half) all lost.

some other goodies, Texas Tech rallied from double digits down to beat Texas...Longhorns are all but out of it with this loss.

Louisville denied Virginia a quality win so Cavs still with a thin resume going forward.

USF wins at Memphis. Thats just a bad loss by the Tigers,,,its their 2nd Q3 loss and they really nothing on their resume at this point

Bryant wins but NJIT loses

St Bonnies wins at Duquense so thats a really good thing

Stanford loses to Colorado and is swept by the Mountain schools this weekend. I can't believe that like 90% of the results seemingly went RU's way.

yeah this was a really good results. Not impressed at all by Stanfords resume, they lost two games this wee, they had a double digit lead in this game They have a win over Oregon and a win over Oklahoma but thats it. They have now lost 5 of 6. They get the Arizona schools at home next week so they can make up for it but 2 losses there and they are out for now

Bama and Georgia was a thriller in OT but Bama kept their hopes alive by digging out the win

SF Austin knocked off New Orleans

OSU now only down 2 to Baylor, its not a direct impact but Baylor losing to the last place Big 12 team would certainly hurt the overall profile of the Big 12
