Not a lot of help in other early finals.

Arkansas beat LSU.
Florida beat Georgia.
Indiana beat Minnesota (Gophers locked into 12 seed).

Bright side... VT beat Clemson so they have no shot at an at large bid.

Seton Hall fighting and clawing back from a big deficit, helped by Nova missing a ton of FT in the final minute - only to come up two points short when they missed a corner 3 at the buzzer. Shot might have been late anyway.

Rhode Island getting smacked by Dayton down 21 mid-2nd half.

Florida State fighting back at Notre Dame from a 13 point deficit and now within two points, four minutes to go.

Wisconsin is going to beat Northwestern.

Florida State with a dramatic win at Notre Dame, 73-71. ND wasn't too close to the bubble and this should bury them. FSU scored with 3.8 seconds to play and ND missed a half-court shot off the rim that would've won it.

Brad Wachtel has us at an 11 seed bye in as of this morning. I really think without winning another game we're squarely in dayton imo, win another and we might even jump to a 10 seed. Personally I prefer the 11 seed, the 3 seeds in this tourney are ripe for picking off.

Where do we get seeded with a win at Purdue and a 1-1 B1G tournament record?
9 probably. That would mean a Q1 road win at purdue + beating Michigan. **** that could maybe even push us up to and 8? 8/9 doesn't matter either way.

Bubble List down to 19 Teams.
Providence and Indiana move off it in the good way.
Tennessee claws their way on at the bottom.
Note: Rutgers is the first team ABOVE the Bubble List.
Note2: Sorted by chances at at-large bid including thoughts about the rest of the season, not necessarily in "if season ended today" order

Im really going to disagree here..rutgers would need perhaps as many as 3 wins to get the 7 line.

What would your opinion be in the counterfactual where we were currently like 14-5 at home and 5-6 road/neutral? With the rest of the resume being equivalent.

But we arent. The road mark will and imo does deserve to be included in the seeding of RU so have no issue with RU being slotted down a seed or even 2 for that

I know, but I am just trying to get at where we disagree. If you would put us at the 7 in that scenario then we basically just disagree on the importance of the road/neutral mark.

Currently i still think wvu and Col and az and butler and mich and even Marq are better seeds than RU

The way I see it:

0-1 + 0-1 (19-13) = Last 4 Byes, 10 Seed
0-1 + 1-1 (20-13) = 9 Seed
0-1 + 2-1 (21-13) = 7 Seed
0-1 + 3-1 (22-13) = 7 Seed
0-1 + 4-0 (23-12) = 6 Seed

1-0 + 0-1 (20-12) = 8 Seed
1-0 + 1-1 (21-12) = 7 Seed
1-0 + 2-1 (22-12) = 6 Seed
1-0 + 3-1 (23-12) = 6 Seed
1-0 + 4-0 (24-11) = 5 Seed

OK but that doesn't answer the question. I have all of those well above Rutgers at the moment as well.

But if we go 1-0 + 1-1 we are adding a road win at Purdue, a neutral win against Michigan, and a neutral loss to Michigan State.

21-12 (11-9)

18-1 Home
1-2 Neutral
2-8 Road

5-10 Q1
6-1 Q2
2-1 Q3
7-0 Q4

Net ~30

Note the only one of the schools you list there that I think we jump with that finish is Marquette. WVU, Colorado, Arizona, Michigan still above us.

Bac ...think if we win three...we are defineley a 7 seed...maybe challenging for a 6 seed

Beating
Maryland
At Purdue
Michigan or Indiana
Michigan state of Maryland

Would put our record at 22-12...and our net ranking around 22-24

Think that’s a 7...and maybe even a 6

Keep in mind the number of single digit loss teams from power confesses will be at an all time low. Expecting 14 teams, tops, to have less than 10 losses

Think you will see at least one team with 10 losses at a four seed and maybe even a three if they win their confrence tourney. (Example : 24-10 Ohio state would get a 3)

would love if Arizona state lost on their home court to Washington . Thought it was easy to win at home though

Washington is going to pull it out. Major choke job by ASU. They are now very squarely on the bubble.
