WVU will need the improvement in their 1st game

Tennessee will be looking to control the line of scrimmage.
That game will set the barometer for not just WVU but the Big XII as a whole

I still think WVU wins but the Buttchuggers of 10rc think they are going to push y'all around
I doubt they truthfully want to see Will Grier again

no. 2 in my book would be to teach the corners to turn their head and look for the ball. they have just as much right to the football as the receiver and maybe, just maybe there would be fewer interference calls and possibly an interception or two. no. 3 would be to make sure Defensive ends stay at home on the read option. Burnt way too many times. Along with poor tackling these two bother me the most.

Best way to prepare against the option is to have everyone accounted for by the Defense
Issue with that of course is that certain players are just superior athletes.
If a DE is being isolated than he will always be torched unless of course he is faster than either the RB or QB

That is why you have another player usually a S in a 3-3-5 to cover the RB

Problem is if that S moves too close to the line QBs burn the defense over the middle IF the CBs cannot play man coverage

WVU needs more physical corners.
Ones who are 5-11 to 6-2
Ones who are capable of playing man coverage are hard to come by

Studying the three greatest football programs in the country since 2000 you see similarities
1) Analyzing talent to fit your schemes
2) Strength and conditioning programs
3) Forcing the players to complete against each other

Texas won a NC while only having one of these and WVU was pretty good under Rich Rod having only one of these

But all three are the key.

I dont see it under DH right now but things may change this spring going into next year
