--The Meadowlands-Lambert Trophy stuff has fallen so far off the radar that nobody follows it, which is sad. And it's no wonder - there were no weekly polls (at least none that I saw) and the award wasn't presented until late February. This past year Navy won the award and it was well-deserved. WVU was third behind Temple. Think about that for a minute - the top two teams in Eastern football last year were Navy and Temple. This would make a perfectly fine Big East football conference if the Big XII implodes, but alas, everybody else would have to leave their leagues to make it happen, which will never happen. I miss Eastern football; it was more intimate and rivalry driven than what we have now. Sure, we're making a lot more money, but we should be winning more than we are. Even so, I don't look at gameday with quite the same anticipation - this is especially true for road games, where WVU's just out there somewhere. But that's just me. Anyway.... Final 2015 Lambert Poll Results FBS 1 - Navy 11-2 2 - Temple 10-4 3 - West Virginia 8-5 4 - Pittsburgh 8-5 5 - Penn State 7-6 6 - Virginia Tech 7-6 7 - Connecticut 6-7 8 - Rutgers 4-8 9 - Syracuse 4-8 10 - Buffalo 5-7
