Definitely, see the UL fan below your post. He's been positively giddy since season's end.
I really hate to see him go, I think he could have had success here, not sure if he will find a team that would have had twenty of the 22 the two deep returning on offense, like he would have had at UK if he returned. And now the one with possibility the most potential for improvement will be gone (lots of others that could improve a lot though). It should help end the QB controversy though, although I don't think we know enough about Phillips yet to know for sure, he could be a better fit for our offense, who knows yet.
I wish him the best, and think he will be able to succeed, but then I think he could have here also.
I found some interesting stats from another Kentucky boy's career today, he didn't start out too promising also, here are some of his stats from the article
:"in his senior season he completed 92 of 173 passes for a 53.2%
completion percentage and totalled 6
touchdown passes, 11
interceptions, and 1,229 yards.
[2] The team also finished with a paltry 2–6–1 record in his senior season and failed to make a bowl game during his' four years.
[2] He finished his career college career with 409 completions in 835 attempts for a 48.9% completion percentage.
[2] He also totaled 32 touchdowns, 45 interceptions, and a school-record 5,545 yards.
"
And that was NOT against SEC competition. But he (and possibly Towles) had the potential that San Francisco had him pegged as a third round pick (ahead of Joe Montana that they drafted instead) and was actually drafted 7th in the FIRST round by the Giants. I don't expect anything like that, but don't be surprised if Towles is drafted.

Those kind of stats could have gotten him hung from the nearest tree by some of our fans, and yet this guy ended up (after a LOT of improvement and failures) with a great NFL career and was a Super Bowl MVP with a record 22 of 25 pass completions (with two drops). But that was after years of struggles and improvement.
I hope Towles can work hard enough and get the confidence to achieves that kind of success, and I think he has the potential to be very successful, but if he is it will be because improves a LOT in a lot of phases of his game, and it isn't all on the coaches. If he succeeds I hope it doesn't cause another meltdown on here-----but it undoubtedly would..
