Wonder if he can play DB?

good pickup. considering the circumstances, this class aint half bad.
Unfortunately in the SEC, it is bad. Really bad. With Jackson added, we've moved from 44th in the country and dead last in the SEC to 35th in the country and second to last in the SEC, 4 spots behind # 31 Missou. Since the only team behind us is USCe, we will likely have no net movement towards the "next level", and could in all likelihood, lag further behind.
There is more to being an SEC coach than Xs and O's, I'm afraid...

I've watched JJ play for 3yrs now, I can tell you a few things about him. He is one of the hardest working young men you'll ever see play, he is a good kid-he don't showboat or act like a prima-Donna, he will fight for the football, actually go up and get it, and will catch darn near anything thrown his way, BUT don't expect a big movement in the stars as Petal runs the ball about 90% of the time, his opportunities are limited and rarely is he left alone in single coverage!
Ha! I'll give you that. I don't have a subscription to ESPN (and Rivals is a joke). Do we stand any better with them?
That sounds like somebody we really want. But how are his grades? Will he qualify? I ask that knowing absolutely nothing about him.

Thanks for this. Been waiting on someone that has seen him several times to post.
I've seen him play: "Rev" is aggressive as a WR and will go get the ball. The opposite of Joe Morrow. He blocks out guys like a basketball player. I bet he would be an awesome H-Back down the line when he gets around 220 lbs (which he looks like he's at 210-215 now, honestly)
2 things:
1 - He sounds like an MSU (we don't get too many primadonnas)
2 - How stupid does the coach at Petal have to be, you have a guy like this and you run the ball 90% of the time? I'd at least be letting Jackson run sweeps and such.
