I think they'll be reasonably competitive in their conference. But beating App. St. isn't as impressive as it sounds. 4-8 last year in their last year in I-AA.

Not that it really matters, but Appalachian State is an FBS team in the Sun Belt now. 20 extra scholarship players for a little more depth, making the win slightly more impressive (but not much).
