this year, we have had to play the defending National Champion (should have beat them) and the teams now ranked 1, 2, 3, 11 & 14 in the BCS. I wonder if anyone has ever had to do that before?

in Starkville. We knew everything you posted before the season started and guess what...it`s going to be like that for the foreseeable future. Winthe Auburngame and we`re headed to 7-5 now. Instead Mullen turns in one of the worst coaching performances I`ve ever seenso weare going to a crappy bowl and it`s questionable if we deserve that.. We`ve got a whole bunch of folks like you in a state of denial and making excuses but the facts are we are not going to get anything given to us by the rest of the SEC and whenwe get our rare chances to win the team needs to be well prepared and our coaches need to come through. In the Auburn game the team was not prepared and our coaches laid a turd. A very costly turd.

You are welcome to your 17ing opinion. You mimic the attitude of the "Forward Rebels" and you know how well they have done!

drop his drawers, drop a big, corny turd right in your living rooms, and you would still say: "You know, it doesn't stink that badly. We haven't really cleaned thoroughly in a while anyway. Yeah, I could totally see how he could mistake this place for a toilet. Thanks, Dan. You the man!"

Turd would have a higher IQ than you. He went 9-4 last year and had us at 15. Considering the hole he had to dig this program out of to accomplish that feat in year 2, I'd say he deserves to at least have a losing season, going forward, before we start calling for his head. I really wonder if there are a bunch of bandwagon fans on this board who just started following college football last year. Because I just can't see how anyone who sat through sherrills last 3 years and the Croom experiment could become so disallusioned and dissatisfied so quickly.

then apparently, you can't read. Where did I ever call for his head? I am just saying that some people treat the man like a sacred cow, and he isn't. What happened to the offense yesterday? I understand the Bama game. Bama's D is that good. Arky's isn't. Why couldn't we move the ball on a mediocre D? Why does he insist on playing three QBs when it obviously isn't working? He is the special teams coach. Why is our special team's play so awful?

I love Mullen for what he has done to energize the fans and get people talking about our program. But he has made mistakes. Some of those mistakes can't be written off so easily. That 9-4 last year was about a fluke, and you know that. Look who we beat: UGA was terrible; UF was down; Michigan had the D of a junior high team; Ole Miss sucked donkey balls; we beat up one some awful OOC teams......The list could go on.

What is your point? The people on this board who are smart enough to realize that Dan Mullen has brought us a long way in 3 short years are smart enough to realize bitching and moaning about coaching decisions isn't going to help anything. I wish Mullen would do a few things differently but as long as the big picture continues to improve, harping on what I think needs to be changed is pointless. If we get to back to back bowl games I will be thrilled. It is not easy to follow up a successful season at MSU as many of our fans have proven, because we don't know how to accept winning. Look at the big picture and worry less about every little detail and you will be much better off.

I'm sure most of the Mullen defenders would be calling for his head if he had 2 losing seasons in a row. But most of us realize that 6-6 against the schedule we've played in the 3rd year of building a program isn't anything to get all hysterical and doom & gloom about. Should we have won 7 games this year? Yes. But by that same logic, we probably should have won "only" 8 last year.

by running down others. It would be hell to work for someone like that. Mullen has made some mistakes, but our main problems have been schedule, injuries and lack of depth. I've been attending games since 1963 and I'm willing to give him time to build a team.

is why we put down our football wins. I have never, ever seen fans of any other school or team in any sport for that matter do that.

So what someone was down? So what we made an interception and scored?

Ridiculous.

that given ourfantastic history we are only supposed to count wins where we win by 40 or more points?

Mississippi has kicked our *** in recruiting every year for at least the last 5 years according to the so-called "experts" and we see how well that's gone for them. As long as he wins, he can recruit however he wants to. </p>

Because when we do beat someone like Memphis 56-7, someone will inevitably ***** about the seven that we allowed.
