Talked to a coach today and we are apparently picking up a commit from Braxton Hoyett--DL from Pelham, AL after his game tonight.

I graduated from Pelham in 2006
We are 6A and play teams like Thompson, Oak Mountain (where DJ Looney and Mark Melichar played high school), Spain Park, and we play Prattville in region this year. We haven't put out that many D1 caliber guys really. Most notable are Tyler Watts and Lane Bearden, who both played for Bama in the early 2000s. Had a guy a few years ago sign to play LB at FSU. Our defense wasn't very good last year, so I'm hoping they can improve this year. Hoyett will be a big part of it if we are going to step it up and get past that opening round playoff lose to Opelika at home last year.
The guy from Pelham we all should know right now is Trevor Fitts, as well as 2015 catcher signee Hunter Stovall. Not that you guys asked for the 411 on Pelham, but there you go. Being a Birmingham guy I love talking about my area.

Sounds good. A couple of other recruiting notes. Watched WC lose to Callaway 27-14. Rodrick Taylor (OG - Ole Miss commit) seemed to go down with an injury in the 2nd half for Callaway and Breland Speeks (OM/MSU recruiting) is a large man, plays mostly DE for them, but I was disappointed in his performance against an undersized WC team. He was not dominant as I expected. In short, Speeks underwhelmed.
Done deal....picked MSU over Miami. #2 DT in Alabama
