I do agree with him that if we're expecting 8 wins, we're probably going to be disappointed. I don't think any of us are expecting 8 wins though. Nice job of misrepresenting a record. He says Mullen is 5-21 against FBS opponents who finish with 8 or more wins. Technically true. But that 5-21 is made up of 0-16 against FBS teams with 10+ wins and 5-5 against FBS teams with 8 or 9 wins.

Good point on the 5-21 stat. If Auburn and Arkansas are improved we may go 5-7 this year. Auburn is again a pivotal game for the Dogs.

That's ok, Sallee has made my list of douchebag "reporters" that will disappoint for like 10 years running now.

He is a rebel through and through

I turn off the radio if he is ever interviewed because it might as well be Chuck or Yancy.

I think most reasonable people knew 7-0 was fool's gold last year. And 8 wins this year? Replacing 2 DBs, most of the WR corps, I'm betting on 6-6.

possibly I am one of the only ones that think we will be better at WR. I think ROJO and Chappelle, with Malcolm in the middle (Brandon Hill healthy) are gonna kill it. bump was a good playmaker for us, but I actually think we will be better if russell jives with those guys this summer. Morrow, Sanders, Tubby, Holloway we have some talent and size.

i really liked his article last summer

that guy never misses an opportunity to hammer us ... entire Bleacher Report is that way

that listed The 10 Reasons Why Auburn will beat Miss St in Week 2 in Bleacher Report . That article should be nominated for the Douchebag award SPS gives out every year. After getting skulldrug 28-10 to us and going 2-10, I wonder if he will still write bold statements like that about the game this year being an Auburn grad and all?

This is possible, but we are going to be SIGNIFICANTLY worse at DB unless Nickoe does a 180. I thing people keep overlooking this fact.

Wait for Sallee to give Rick Ray some credit. Then we will know he's a bear.*******

agreed. Cox will help alot, but if we can't find a pass rush then whoa nelly. I hope Arrington or Quadry Antoine can step up at FS or nickle pkg. Nickoe worries me lots see skinny post safety help via egg bowl 2012. Hope Deshea can coarch up some there.

I am expecting a lot out of Chappelle. I have always thought ROJo had some stuff you can't teach. I hope Morrow can be what we once hoped he would.

Our WR's were okay if not spectacular next year. Its hard to predict that a entire WR corps made up of newcomers will be an improvement, although its possible if one of them is a real playmaker, something we lacked last year.

At DB, we may have less talent in the combined four that start compared with last year, but I can see our secondary having similar overall passing defense statistics, with the exception of interceptions. We created some turnovers, but the combination of poor scheme and poor safety play meant that the middle of the field was wide open to opposing teams. It was almost like we were only playing 2 players in the secondary the safeties were so out of the play and useless.

Yeah, I never wrote such a story. I did pick Auburn over Mississippi State. Nice try though.

Don't forget that the university of ole miss had the greatest recruiting class since the 1974 Pittsburgh Steeler draft, to go along with the magnificient recruiting seasons they had in 2012, 2012, 2010, and 2009. ole miss university has to win at least 10 games this year, or their season is a TOTAL, COMPLETE, UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT.

How are we gonna disappoint? According to recruiting honks, The Mississippi State University has been fighting South Alabama, Troy, and Jackson State for recruits. If we get to 6 wins, that counts as one of the most successful seasons on record at OUR SCHOOL. 3-5 wins is expected, and anything more than that BLOWS your opinion out of the water.

Next, why don't you write an article about how Shug Jordan was such a badass fighting the Nazis, but became a little baby when it came to cowbells?

Lazy writer. If you disappointed last year, you will disappoint this year. Real genius there.

He mentioned other reasons why, such as the loss of playmakers at WR and CB. He also mentioned the most important reason, a much tougher schedule.

It's just funny. The third year in a row he has written an article about how overrated Mullen is.

We have interviewed him a few times on our podcast. He's a good guy. I just like ribbing him about it.

Not disagreeing with him. Everybody on this board has said as much long ago. If he wanted to really say something not so obvious, how about LSU and TAMU losing tons of players etc? For them winning "only" 8-10 games would be disappointing.

Absolutely shocking ...

From the same guy that insisted repeatedly that Dan Mullen's seat was 'hotter' than Mean Gene Chizik's.

Don't ever expect Sallee to say much good about our Dogs.
