where I see our frustrations coming from is when we dont attack the opposing teams weakness.

It seemed that we tried to throw entirely too many difficult passes against LSU with our running qb and paid for it.

I have no issue now with the Auburn game. We played hard against a good team, had a chance to win, but didnt.

It seemed that we tried to bulldoze an Alabama team that is entirely too strong up front and had shown a weakness in pass defense at times.

I know the old saying that if you are using 2 quarterbacks you acually have no qb but that is just cliche, motivational speaker ********. We need to use Russell more. Not exclusively and not just to pass either. If russell runs a few qb draws, it will keep the defense honest. And relf would still need to throw.

HOWEVER, these next two teams have issues on defense and we cannot afford to be bullheaded. If they stack the box and Relf is not throwing well, we are going to have to use Russell more. Fact of the matter is, if Arkansas and UM have any shred of an ability to game plan that is EXACTLY wht they will do. Take away the run and make us pass.

I think most of this stems from the fact that Relf just doesnt do what a passing qb isrequired to do: Read a defense on the fly and check down. He is goodat running the called play and only that.

Russell is youngand hasnt been used enough to develop a good rhythm. I dont thinkwe scrap theRelf gameplan, but when it's not working, like last night, we have to make better adjustments....and sooner.

7 wins is fine and dandy. But not if we finsh the regular season that way. We need to beat one of the next two at a minimum.
