I honestly don't get the infatuation with CNN? Are they somehow more biased then Breitbart? Huffington Post? Slate? Fox News? It's as though CNN munted Ronald Reagan.

No, they aren't. They're about the same. That's the point.

No, that was my point. People on this board go above and beyond pointing out CNN's bias as if it's personal. One could almost say......Sad!
I think it stems from our left leaning friends always pointing to CNN as some bastion for truth and balance. The reality is they aren't, at all.

Well, to be fair I mentioned before the election one day that CNN was no better and probably just as biased as any other media outlet when it comes to bias, just stating what you are saying now essentially and there were 3 or 4 responses from lefty regulars that would make you think my statement was tantamount to long-dicking their signrificant other.

My problem with them is that they have dramatically changed during this election cycle. As I have previously stated, They were my go to for news and Wolf Blitzer was my favorite because of his professionalism. Now they have gone off the deep end......MSNBC is now not as biased as CNN.

It has changed so drastically is the point. CNN was the only cable news I watched not long ago. They still have the best international coverage. And they're so blatantly in with the DNC it's not worth watching anymore.

Not surprising you don't get it. CNN touts itself as non-partisan. Even handed. A place to go for neutral news. Yet, they are caught red handed colluding with Dems during the campaign and providing aid and comfort to the Dems. By their head political correspondent, no less, Gloria Borger.

Since the election, they have been non-stop hatred of all things Trump. I think Jake Tapper is fair. Can you name one other anchor that is? All of their opinion anchors are libs.

Admit what you are. Don't try and lie an hide behind a veneer or independence. Even CNN CEO, Zucker admitted they are too far left.

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/cnns-jeff-zucker-concedes-cnn-has-been-a-little-too-liberal/

Breitbart does not hide the fact they are populist conservative. Huffingpost is liberal, everyone knows that. Same with Slate Fox News opinion hosts (O'Reilly, Hannity, Carlson are conservative) although their hard news is not (Shep Smith a liberal, Chris Wallace a registered Dem, not sure about Bret Baier). Don't hide who you really are. Be honest.

Ok, this issue has blown up to be a major story that anyone with half a brain knew before reading anything on CNN.com and Warren has been uplifted in her own status mostly because of McConnell's disrespectful and disgusting behavior. So, does any whacko want to walk back their bashing of CNN? I figured not. That would take something called CHARACTER which is not something many whining wingnuts have. You prove it daily on this board.

Bru, not dissing you but I don't think Warren has been "uplifted". If anything, her disrespectful and disgusting behavior toward Sessions has only pushed her deeper into the hole she is digging for herself. If Sessions was the racist that Warren painted him as....why did he receive an NAACP Governmental Award of Excellence in April of 2009 in Mobile Alabama at the NAACP Civic and Human Rights Convention.

You are completely unaware of the brilliance of McConnell's strategy. He did this very purposefully. He wants Warren to be the face of the Democrat party. She can't possibly win in 2020 and he knows it. She played right into his hands and he played her like a fiddle.

You are not paying attention to the real news that you could see on CNN and almost every other media outlet. Even a fellow whacko that trolled down below is taking it even further and saying McConnell is a genius as he "uplifted" her to be the leading candidate for the Dems in 2020

The GOP would love nothing more than to have Warren as the face of the Democrat party. They want her to be the nominee. She can't possibly win. Why did the Dems sabotaged Bernie, because they knew he could not win either.

The point about this backfiring is that Warren's reading of the letter would not have been covered by anyone but CSPAN, competing against late night TV last night. By shutting her up, they made it a lead story. She read the letter anyway - just not in the Senate. Also, they didn't invoke the same rule when 3 other senators read the exact same letter. Likewise, they did not invoke the rule when Ted Cruz called McConnell a liar last year on the floor of the Senate.

Mule, I think you were missing the much longer term point. The GOP wants Warren to be the Democrat nominee. This was the perfect opportunity for McConnell to elevate Warren. He did it beautifully.

You are too dumb to realize the point of my and mule's post which is the point of the whole thread. It is about the story and whether or not the media especially CNN is coverying it fairly.

That is certainly not the point that I read Mule make. It had nothing to do with CNN. My period has nothing to do with CNN either. My point is that the GOP desperately wants Warren to be the Dem nominee in 2020. She can't win.

You mean like this comment Mule just made;
"Also, they didn't invoke the same rule when 3 other senators read the exact same letter. Likewise, they did not invoke the rule when Ted Cruz called McConnell a liar last year on the floor of the Senate."

You consider that comment staying on the "point" of the thread?

Yes, if you don't cherry pick just a part of the entire comment. You are being dishonest as always. If you read his post, it talks about how the media would have covered it without McConnell's involvement. And then this comment is talking about the story that was presented as it played out today in the media.

But you and that troll won't understand any of this. Fact still remains, no whacko has the character yet to walk back the false comments about CNN.

I don't take him seriously. He's good for a laugh once in awhile. I really don't think he is so stupid that he actually would think Elizabeth Warren could ever be elected POTUS.

You are at least smart enough unlike that troll in which my comments has nothing to do with Warren and an attempt to run for president.

It may be that they want to elevate her somehow. I still think it's a bad play. She's already one of the bigger names in her party. What happens today will have little bearing on the nomination process in another 3.5 years in her party. I think she might run. I certainly don't favor her as the nominee. I like her fervor over protecting individuals from being taken advantage of by financial institutions. I don't entirely agree with her on that topic, but I appreciate the passion. Outside of that, she's far more liberal than I would care for our president to be.
