"Rolling Meadows mom award": poster that comes out of the woodwork from that one team that out of nowhere has a really good team and doesn't get respect...
Seems like a poster from C-G could win this award every year. They are one of the best programs in the state year after year, but their posters play the lack of respect card on a year after year basis, as well.

Most rabid fan base prone to going off the rails.....the Insane Naz Posse, although this year they were remarkably subdued. And they suffered some key losses, which lowered their insane quotient.

I think it finally clicked that it's a marathon, not a sprint.

Hate to say it, but agree with this one...

I'm new to the forum this year but definitely don't agree with Wassup being "most out there". Pretty much agree with most but not all of what he posts. Beside being angry MC63 should be in this category. Like MWittman and Ramblin's post this year as well as Voodoo, Bones and MCHSalumni I must be out there too with Wassup so you can disregard what I just wrote.

I love it when people spell MWittman with an "H." A few years back there was an impostor poster named MWhittman. It drove him nuts. He spelled lots of words wrong and did a faux CCL Blue post.

Who remembers those 6000 word CCL Blue posts?

JC:

The fact he or others misspelled my name has never exasperated me in the least. If those who unwittingly or deliberately misspell my name, this is their prerogative.

What galled me about the imposter, MWHittman, was his attempt to discredit my creation, the Blue Thread.

Although he never admitted it, it was so obviously the creation of fratboy. His predictions were the work of the devil. If one noticed, and many did, he did everything to disparage MC and LA, but lavished praise on PC, constantly implying of their invincibility.

I would venture to say MWHittman was fratboy's shortest-lived incarnation.

One of the shorter of his many, but the trickery certainly confused many on the board at the time. Fratboy was a close second behind @Cross Bones, only based on longevity. Bones lingers, kind of like herpes, where Fratboy is like a vicious case of the runs. Painful, yet short lived.

Cheers to LA on another fabulous run. What a great run for the Wilmette boys despite the loss last night.

Ive compared it to Tom Hanks' character in The Lady Killers. At which point I was advised that the version I was referring to was the remake and the original was much better.

Bones:

I did so very gently and recommended a man of your clever humor would appreciate the original instead of the tired retread with middling talent, Tom Hanks.

As you well know, Alec Guinness is a far superior artist in comparison to Hanks. Moreover, Peter Sellers and Herbert Lom are excellent as supporting cast members. I highly recommend you taking the time to watch it.

I've said for over a decade, fratboy was this forum's first case of syphilis.

I would more accurately liken my presence to having a sickle cell trait, which does not give one the actual symptoms of the sickness, but still protects the body against contracting malaria. Who or what is the malaria one might ask?

10. "What ever happened to" poster

Add a category and I'll change the list.

mchs:

I'd like to add for consideration the "worst late-season newcomer for 2016." Every year, there is one who gains immortality as playoff season starts.

Speaking of Tom Hanks and mediocrity, are you aware he was plugging that movie on Letterman and actually admitted that he had never seen the original? I was stunned.

If Whitman is anything other than dumbest and/or most obnoxious and/or biggest douche, then this poll is complete and utter garbage.
Unless there's a spot for most popped collars under a lettermans jacket... then I'll give the nod to Witty.

doctor_d:

You have referenced me as "Witty" several times and I think you may be causing some confusion here. I am referenced as "MW" or "Witt." There is a venerable poster named WIttymoniker who runs by the name Witty. I tell you this because Wittymoniker (Witty) is a Rita man, one of many here. An intrepid bunch, Rita men band together and don't take kindly when their own is insulted. You'll get the hang of it, or maybe you won't.

As far as the popped collar, I never adopted the style. I prefer my ascot and my homburg.

I imagine you remain committed to your DeKalb farm-seed hat with a plastic snap.

To each his own is beautiful.............

Witt:

I work with a few CCL guys and have noticed that the Rita (and Rice) guys are certainly a different breed than the rest.

Your shtick (or your actual personality) of being a condescending jerk is off putting, yet provides quite the entertainment value. You are the north shore version of HHStigerfan, who is entertainment in his own right. For that, my applause.

My attempt at stereotyping your attire was off the mark, I see. For that I apologize. I should have known you were well beyond being a simple fedora man.

I'm not much for headwear of any sort, but will occasionally sport a Cubs cap if out and about on a particularly sunny day.

Congrats to LA for a fine season. I realize the ending was not what you desired, but two fine teams battled and provided a very entertaining night cap to the championship weekend.

After reading this guy's post, I was wondering how in the Sam Hell did I get thrown into this. LOL. And thanks for the kind words, MWitt. Just hoping the Mustangs can get into the playoffs once again for next year!

doctor_d:

It is my actual personality, but few find me to be condescending or a jerk. I would recommend you go back and look at our exchange in the "IHSA dream season," and if you care to look I am not the one who engaged you, it was quite the contrary.

It began with you referring to ramblinman as "Francis."

When I began with a string of thoughtful questions exploring you position on ICCP, asking for clarification to engage in constructive dialogue, I was met with a series of insults, some in all caps and one of which was inquiring of me if I had some sort-of "condition," concerned over insulting a handicapped person.

Later you added remarks suggesting my arrogance and ignorance, nonesuch came from me.

It continued to include go dogz taking his unprovoked cheap shot and then I decided respond to both of you.

A little introspection on your part may have be helpful for you then, but it is probably too late for you. You have already hung yourself on this forum.

You are correct, I engaged your comments regarding how you take much glee in watching private school domination and subsequent whines from the public sector.
Although we don't share the same point of view, I will say that I do admire your prose, loquacious as it may be at times.
As far as hanging myself, so be it. I'm not necessarily here to make friends. This is another outlet of football info, and it is my observation that the most frequent posters here are from the private side of the fence. Not that this is a bad thing, just confirmation bias that I won't find many "allies" here. I've stated my feelings on the p vs p debate and do hope for continued coexistence if that is possible.
I also would like to apologize for any disparaging remarks and will try to behave myself going forward.
