Northwestern looks really good so far. Hard to believe these are the same teams we have beaten, Indiana looking out of sync and Northwesterns offense looking unstoppable.

Good enough to give OSU and us a game. Especially their defense, offensively I agree. However this Northwestern team isnt the same one we beat in September. They look like they have figured out whats wrong.
No they didnt. What game did you watch? Indiana was in that game until the 4th quarter, held their offense to season lows(except the final score off a late int). Sure they lost by 21, but they played them at the shoe and kept it close most of the game.
Exactly. Indiana missed a 4th and 1 at the OSU 4 in the 4th Quarter. If they get a TD there, it's a 7 point game in the 4th Quarter. Indiana wasn't really a threat to win, but OSU didn't put the game away until well into the 4th Quarter.
All that matters is the final score...they lost by 21.

Look, you can jock up Indiana all you want but like I said before Nebraska play them they're not that good of a team.
Northwestern is playing better, and NU's defense is playing at a high caliber level. Eventually, we have to come to grips with that and accept the D is more solid than we expected it to be. This even with the LB struggling early.
Hey if it makes you feel better to say that then so be it. But it sounds like you want them to be bad so when we lose you can say look i told you so.
They are bad because they are bad. They were bad last year and the year before and the year before. I think they have like 44 wins over the last ten years. They might only win one more game this year.
I guess I am telling you so because back in the predictions read when Nebraska was playing Indiana I said Indiana was bad and that the huskers would roll.
I am not sure by what martix you believe our D is playing at a high caliber. They are playing well or good enough against who we have been playing but they have not been what I would call dominant. We will see for certain the next few weeks.
I think our style of D isnt designed to look dominant except in the red zone.
Speaking of D, Northwestern. Has had two one handed Int's. I think they both made Jourdain lewis's one hander look pedestrian.
No matrix, one stat: scoring D. Right now they are 17. That same D that when the offense struggled mightily last week, still allowed NU to cover the spread. Try to think glass half full, especially when we're seeing northwestern put up points and virtually shutting down a high rated pass offense.
