Blah. Two seemed like plenty. I do like the Gator Bowl tie-in, I just wish we could match that up against a different conference.

of fact, the Michigan/Michigan State game last weekend was the best game I saw the entire weekend. Nevertheless, Shreveport might be more likely to take a 6 win Mississippi State team than would Jacksonville. Of course, the SEC folks would have a hand in it

But I think over time losing the SEC will really hurt attendance, unless they can convince another BCS conference to tie-in. The western SEC schools fans are all such a short drive from Shreveport. I don't see fans of a 6-6 Big 10 team driving to Shreveport for New Year's. Maybe they could try to get the service academies involved again, since they have nice followings all over the country.

It's been a crap game for a long time though, and always survived. I remember watching Tech play in that game in about 89. That's LOUISIANA Tech, not Georgia Tech. I am sure they would like to have the SEC team, but it survived for a long time without one and will continue to do so. Let's face it, as bad as it is, it is still better than the GMAC, PapaJohn's, New Orleans, or the one in San Fransisco.

I agree with you, but everyone on this board would be baaaaing and have grown a nice wool coat for the holidays if this year we were in any of those bowls mentioned. Hell, I'd kill for a trip to Shreveport. this year.

The Snow Bowl

These memories are too dang short. If winning matters, it doesn't stop mattering. Otherwise, it really is "just a game."

it'd be tough to find a good location, so it'd have to be a big time bowl (3rd tie in or higher). denver, st. louis, san antonio maybe.

I'll miss the Indy Bowl. Shreveport is a good city for a short trip. Just enough to do to pad out a bowl game trip.

Plus the Snow Bowl memories... thanks Indy Bowl.

The speed of the game is so much slower. Easier to watch plays develop. The "complexion" of the game is interesting, too.

Born raised and live in Shreveport. I hate that the sec tie in is gone. It's gonna hurt attendance for sure. It usually has some good games but now prob gonna get some turds. Yay
