Thanks for sharing Smashcat. I am looking forward to this young man becoming 100% ready to play for the Cats!! He was on fire before his injury. I think we have another good RB. Go Cats!!

I am glad UK struck with him and sounds like he will be ready for the spring.

I'm glad his leg is heeling so quickly, just hope he doesn't rush back too fast and it sets him back.

Agreed. As a ATC and PT, this is my worry as well. And, they shouldn't have to worry about rushing him. "If" Boom does leave, the combo of Snell/King should do just fine.....possibly with Rose as a 3rd option.

Sounds good. I hope he is in the mix. Can't have enough competition for snaps and options. He was crushing it before his injury. Recall that Urban even checked in on him after the 300 yd night that preceded the game in which he was injured. In fact, surprisingly, I think it was the day after the injury?

If Boom leaves, Rose likely becomes 2nd string immediately. Coaches seem to love that kid.

If Koback is healthy, can't wait to see him. Was putting up video game numbers in HS.

No pun intended but we might have caught a break with his injury. May have had more big time programs looking at him from what I saw on video. Kid is a natural! I just hope he is healed up and back to his old self. We might need him if Boom goes pro.

Just another fyi... Urban Meyer was at the game he broke his leg at checking him out.. After he broke his leg OSU backed off... I was really worried seeing urban at the game as i thought for sure ohio st was going to steal him away from us. So yes it might have saved us... Im here to tell you he is the read deal...

really hope Koback can play this fall, especially if Boom turns pro
Koback is recovering from a leg fracture, but he is 1 of the better players in our class. If Koback practices in March, his activities will be limited. He should be fine physically by August, but a redshirt is probably best. Our running backs in September should be Boom, Benny, Rose, King. King still has a redshirt option left, so he could be tempted to transfer but that's just my speculation. In several threads, I have described why it doesn't make sense for Boom to leave now and be a 7th round draft choice. Maybe he could work his way up to the 6th round at the draft combine, but he could also drop to free agent if anything goes wrong. So I think he stays. But if he leaves, then Benny and Rose would get 90% of the snaps, and Koback could be needed sooner.

Even if Boom leaves I think they should RS Koback. That would give him a Full year to recover and get back into playing shape. IMO we have enough talent/depth with Snell, Rose and King to get us through the season. We played mostly 2 back all season anyways with either Boom or Kemp being injured at some point during the season.

Koback on radio in the morning. Vaught tweeted this.

Remember we have @koback27 on WLAP with us Sunday at 10:15. That gives @meisterbuerger 75 minutes to rave about Malik Monk first

Well, Mr Monk did put on quite a show, do you think he would be better at QB throwing all those threes up or at wide receiver with his height and speed?

I'm glad he broke bone, instead of wrecking a joint, if a leg injury was in the cards.

I assume it was a lower leg fracture. Does anyone know?

Anyway, once healed, I expect he will be good as new after rehabbing and reconditioning the leg. Sound about right?

Sounds like UK could redshirt him and he should be good to go by 2018. Unless he bulks up to 300 and can play DT, why rush it?
