We did everything we could to lose but still won. A win is a win but good lord that was stressful.
It's amazing what good rebounding can balance out.
The Melendez layup block was a thing of beauty as well.
I had to pause it going into OT and went outside and smoked half a cigarette. First time I’ve smoked in months.
We aren't used to it, but, that's the kind of game you see in a rival top 25 matchup. Mississippi is good. Think of the old UNC Duke games. Acc sucks now so it's SEC to take their place.
If you are watching that game without being a fan of either team, man that is a hell of a college basketball game.
It’s only a “bad” game for us because of the sloppy TO and free line too. Atypical for us this season to have that many TOs and usually we are better from the line too. It’s good that we overcame that, kept on fighting and grinned it out. Grit I love it! At the end of the day it’s a win over a top 25 team, and both teams played their *** off. I’m proud of the boys. We overcame some very POOR coaching at the end of regulation!!
We should’ve fouled UM and made them shoot a 1 and 1 with around 10-12 secs left INSTEAD of allowing them to drain a 3 to tie it.
Also, we should’ve called a TO with 7-8 secs left in regulation and set up a play.
Correct me if I’m wrong but the score was tied so all we needed was a 2 pt shot or to drive the lane, get fouled and make 1 FT.
But no we threw up an off balance 3 from 25’ out as time expired.
Coaches have GOT to do better!!!

And, I noticed Vandy upset Tenn…. right before we play at Tenn. I hate when that happens right before we have to play a good team.
