One NFL personnel man says he his more concerned with Ole Miss DE Greg Hardy's durability than Hardy's attitude.
<div class="s_playerNewsTextMain">Hardy clashed with the coaching staff after Houston Nutt's arrival for 2008. He was one of the nation's top pass rushers in '07. "He’s not a bad kid; the coaches just hated him because he wouldn’t play through injury," the executive said. "It was pretty serious, so it’s hard to say the kid was wrong. The more important question is whether he’ll be able to stay healthy." </div>

they should draft him high. His rep as a head case goes back to h.s. and spans three hc's and dc's.

if we constantly talk about the reb coaching staff punishing Hardy for not playing through a serious injury it will begin to resonate with recruits and h.s. coaches. This type thing is what they are good at doing to us.

Saw on Nafoom yesterday that Scott Bittle still has arm problems and may need potentially career-ending surgery. The Yankees saw the problem when the put him through a physical after drafting him in 2008 and refused to sign him, so he went back to Mississippi and pitched in 2009 until his shoulder got so bad he couldn't pitch any more. Now his pro career may be over before it ever starts. He may wind up being the first 1st-round draft pick to wind up making less than $100,000in his pro career in a long, long time.

4th round by the Cards. When I referred to him being a 1st round pick, I was referring to his pre-injury draft spot and missed it by 1 round.

I was like- I wonder what suckers took that guy. Only to find out it was my favorite team, the Cardinals.

Lance Lynn must have put in a good word for him.

Most 4th rounders never makeit to the majors anyway and Bittle's upside potential if the injury turned out not to bea long-term problemwas pretty good.

I think Bittle would have still probably been around a LOT later than the fourth round. I know the draft is a crapshoot, but I would have liked to have seen a fourth round pick on someone a little safer.
