4 Super conferences are getting ready to take shape. The SEC, Pac 12 (16), Big 10 (16), and the ACC.

The rest of the leagues will be relegated to a much bigger separation than the BCS/non-BCS designation that's set up today. I don't know how it'll all shake out, but I think the divide is only getting bigger, and that leads me to believe that ultimately it'll be a complete separation.

I think schools like Memphis would do themselves a favor by dropping to 1AA football, so they can get by with spending less on the program, and they can focus all of their energies on basketball. That's ultimately where this is headed.

I haven't really followed/read any of the recent conference expansion stuff... but I assumed that leaving the NCAA would have been discussed ad nauseam with regards to the formation of "Super Conferences" (sounds like a comic book).... has it not? I'm honestly asking, and not being condescendingly sarcastic
