They're going with their doubleheader next weekend. A&M vs auburn at 2:30 and LSU-alabama that night. Felt sure they would save that doubleheader for the iron and egg bowls.

I think they already locked in LSU vs ATM and it prevented that from happening.

Yeah but I think they can only do 2 games per week. Which really cost them this year because an Egg/Iron Bowl double header would be epic.

By the end of November either the Egg Bowl or the Iron Bowl won't matter in the CFP scheme. They're striking while the iron is hot.

If Bama is sitting at 10-1 and we're sitting at 10-1 (with our loss being @Bama), those games will determine the West champ. And if we finish 11-1 and don't go to the SEC title game, we're still in the conversation

The dates of the morning-afternoon and afternoon-evening doubleheaders are set before the season starts. They don't get to just have a doubleheader when they feel like it.
