Interesting note on Billy Napier

[OliveBranchDAWG]

Napier is represented by Pete Roussel, ole miss alum and co-founder of footballscoop

Scott Roussel, brother of Pete just published this article on footballscoop:

"Louisiana Lafayette head coach Billy Napier was hoping to be considered for the Ole Miss job but never got look, sources tell FootballScoop. It is not known if Billy would be as excited by the possibility of coaching at Mississippi State.. "

Are we sure this wasn't written by Yancy? 17 footballscoop, they have never done us any favors

Probably unknown because they refuse to ask him. Geez, these Rebels will try to spin anything to make OM sound superior to MSU.

[BigDog72.sixpack]

Two words for Billy- Jimmy Sexton!!!

[forestdepth]

They’re already trying to spin the narrative. Means it’s a done deal.

The Roussel brothers used to hate each other. Not sure if they have made up.

Haha. Classic by their fan base. I said in a thread earlier OM fans will start to realize they only won the presser, which is usually their ultimate goal.

All they care about is perception and instant media gratification. You can only say "Get on the Lane Train" so many times before it wears off.

"It is not known if Billy would be as excited by the possibility of coaching at Mississippi State.. "

^^ This is hilarious. Did the dipchit that wrote this attend the same journalism school as the fat *** that wrote "Prescott almost threw an interception."?

Interesting. Gotta think Pete provides sources for the website in some capacity, since he's an agent.

Reportedly turned Arkansas down and word is he won't accept anything less than 4 mil a year

Coming from a guy making 850K at ULL? You really believe that?

Pay him 3 and give him 2.5 to 3 for his assistants. Write the 17n check, bastard.

“It is not known if Billy would be as excited by the possibility of coaching at Mississippi State”

That quote has smug condescension oozing out of my computer screen. Even if I didn’t already know that the author was an Ole Miss grad, I could have told you exactly where he went to college just by reading it.

[engie]

Unless something changed, those brothers absolutely hate each other and are not on speaking terms

[RiverCityDawg]

That's the most "ole miss fan" quote I may have ever seen.

[Trojanbulldog19]

pay him 4 and still give that for the assistants. it's sec time. we need to start acting like if we are going to get serious.

[AlCoDog]

I bet they’re both right.

Well, after reading that I now hate both of them & I didn't even know they existed.

I’ve been beating the Napier drum for a while if we were going to make a change. He’s the real deal I’m telling y’all. Don’t **** this up Cohen. Give him what he wants.
