Not so much the football... but the baseball and basketball numbers. Serioiusly... MSU is last in money spent on basketball and baseball recruiting over the past 3 year average? Who all here would have guessed that MSU has spent the least total money over a three year average in baseball recruiting in the entire SEC?

I guess i'm surprised at Alabamas recruiting figures. Either the program really sells itself, or they are not filing some things under "recruiting" that others are... I choose the latter...

First of all, apparently it costs about 23,000 dollars to run a baseball camp. (rimshot)

Secondly, and I don't know how much Cohen had to do with this, but UK was among the top as far as spending for baseball recruiting. I would be interested to see the baseball numbers again in three years.

UT has to recruit nationally because TN is not a great recruiting base. Most SEC teams can stay in their home state.

It's been that way for a few years. Like CD mentioned, it's partly due to the fact that they have to leave their home state to get quality athletes. Plus they have a lot of resources to call upon. Fulmer use to constantly fly all over the country trying to convince recruits to come to UT.
