This was taken from another message board...the guy only has one post. Not sure about the legitimacy of this post.

"This will be my first and only post. A man name Jamie Holder is being investigated by the NCAA. Mr. Holder is an executive at Hol-Mac Corp in Bay Springs, MS, a former Ole Miss football player, and resides on Ole Miss's Board of Directors for the Alumni Association. The NCAA is investigating his involvement in the recruitments of Cody Pruitt and Donte Moncrief. The allegations include pay for play and providing jobs to Pruitt's family, namely his grandmother. While investigation of allegations of this nature are not uncommon, what is alarming is that Ole Miss is using a private firm and outsourcing the compliance tasks to ensure that they are not forced to release the information through a Freedom of Information Act request. The official announcement of the investigation is being delayed until after National Signing Day to "protect this class." The act of hiding this information to their respective recruits, and the chance that these kids could be walking into a University facing potentially major sanctions, is alarming and cause for concern. I hope that someone will do their due diligence and protect these kids who are being lied to and misled.

Mr. Holder, his family, and Ole Miss's compliance department are fully aware of these allegations."

Using a third party to avoid the FOI act ...sounds familiar

Almost like I've heard that exact same thing before.....

Heard this from an Ole Miss friend a few months ago that there might be an issue

in Jasper country. I didn't pay much attention to it but it is interesting to see it here.

I work with a big time Ole Miss fan and he said that he has heard that Alabama has turned them in. He was totally serious and I was kind of shocked when he said that. All of the Rebels that I work with joke about how they are cheating. Its frustrating because it feels like we are sitting back and taking it up the ***.

I really don't see how they could have any trouble with jobs for parents. There are plenty of jobs at Hol-Mac that most anyone is qualified for. As for using a 3rd party to handle it (if there really is an it) should just be SOP for any public school.

Awesome.

I see these specifics pass the general's test for solidity in crootin rumors.

The house if cards is falling. The are getting hit for Moncrief. Treadwell throwing money on Instagram is surely not smart enough to hold up under NCAA interviewers.

Tunsil and Ole Miss have the UGA people enraged. I get they send some Rebel dirt to the NCAA.

I think Ole Miss is just all-in until the NCAA stops them. I see that happening soon with the rest of the SEC being so offended.

Yes, Robert Khayat, when he was Chancellor, set up a "power of attorney" situation with a law firm to be the initial contact point to channel inquiries from the NCAA through. He intimated as such, when Khayat said, in so many words, we have established a creative way of managing NCAA issues. So, no secondary violations ever hit the news, and such things as a PLOI, are never released IF Ole Miss can negotiate through their attorneys a deal with self punishment.

Freeze reminds me so much of Gene Chizik it's scary. I've always said going all the way "in" is dangerous. When the rest of the SEC gets upset, not good. Don't forget that schools in other conferences are pissed too, Michigan being one.

And THIS is why Bracky Brett is in way over his head. He may be a nice guy but he is not remotely qualified to be a compliance guy at an SEC school. We need to replace Bracky with a proactive defense lawyer.

I've actually been saying this since Mullen came to Starkville. We have to have a new compliance department, one that doesn't track VIN numbers in the Hump parking lot. We need one like EVERY OTHER SEC SCHOOL has. One that assures we operate within that grey area were you win big recruits and big games. We need one that gets our boosters on the same page about what is and isn't trackable. SEC football is a multi-hundred million dollar buisness and Brett is a major roadblock to us succeeding in the west. We need one that is pro-active in the rules that everyone else EXCEPT MSU plays by.

Exactly. A compliance officer's job is to help you find and use all the loopholes and questionable tactics without actually crossing the line that would get you put on probation. We seem to think his job is to be the NCAA's enforcement officer and would rather ***** about how the other schools' NCAA enforcement officer isn't doing his job than get our to do what his job really is.

Hell, Georgia has had a hard on for olemiss ever since they rolled in on the first kemdichi.

Olemiss had denzel slamming uga in the media to cover up the other **** they were doing. Nothing like being slammed in the media by a recruit for no reason. Things could go drastically well of olemiss or they could go drastically disasterous for them. Probably won't be much middle ground for them when things are said and done.

Sent to take up for boss**

On 247 a poster claims for fact Ms Pruitt works there & talked to her the other day. What part are you claiming to not be true? For one, how would you know if NCAA was looking at him? Secondly, if the mother works there, how can you explain her job? Especially after the move

Again. Most anyone is qualified to work there. So what if his grandmother does work there? You think anyone's going to be able to prove that the only reason they hired her was so her son would play football for Mississippi? We need to quit bitching about Mississippi doing stuff like this and start doing it ourselves. We're putting ourselves at a huge (and unnecessary) disadvantage otherwise.

As a big Ole Miss booster told me last week:

"I don't know what we are doing, and I don't want to know." That pretty much sums it up. They know the NCAA is going to look hard (and I mean hard) and he's afraid what they might find.

We have an alleged "handshake" and old used car "story" and and we get blasted in the national media and have to dive on our sword. Can you imagine if we started putting family members to "work" as TSUN has been doing for the last 20 years?

They got their taco connection to hep out a certain 7 on 7 coach and spill the beans against us and get us on the run. Why aren't we doing this to the so called "tire guy"? From what I'm told, that situation has been going on for years!

Coach gets threats that certain information about him will "go public" if he doesn't pipe down. Why aren't we calling out these so called Rebel "Crooter's" and putting out information every ten minutes about these guys like they do to us. We don't have to be specific, just bring to attention that something smells and it's coming out of Batesville.

I mean, hell, as many players that have migrated away from that place, you would think we would have someone who could get those players to do the same by hearing "what really goes on up there". We are MSU.

Nothing will come of this. Probably is some shadiness going on but the one thing you have to give Ole Miss credit for is that they do a good job covering their tracks.

I don't know if any of the above is true. However, I do know that Jamie Holder did play at Ole Miss. He had a brother named Jeffrey who also played there. I think they were both wideouts. I can't remember which one was older. I am not sure where the older brother played in high school, but the younger brother played at Heidelberg Academy and probably graduated around 1988. Both were extremely successful in SEC football.

i mean, most people expect oregon to get some kind of punishment for purchasing ****** quality recruiting services from lache seastrunk's "handler" or whatever. oregon can argue that they were legitimately purchasing willie lyles' recruiting services (just like dozens of other schoos), and that they were pretty disappointed in the quality of the material. they made a poor purchasing decision. but no one expects them to get off clean. same logic can apply to hiring of recruit's family members. maybe they are qualified for the job, but if they are consistently being hired by ole miss booster owned companies and businesses just before or after signing day, then we can put 2 and 2 together.

Well, I'm not sure about all the chasing down of people....BUT

1. Hiring the parents of recruits to gain a signature is illegal by NCAA rules
2. If all these recruit's families keep turning up with new jobs (Kimdeechy, Koolio, Pruitt, etc), at some point there has to be something to it

I know it's illegal and I have no doubt that they're doing it. But I'll be shocked if they get busted for getting jobs for recruits' families. We need to quit bitching about them hiring relatives, and start hiring some relatives ourselves.

Serious question: Why would Ole Miss pay for Cody Prewitt*? We were his only BCS offer, he's from an Ole Miss family and he basically committed before Houston Nutt could finish offering him.

ETA: Replied to wrong post, sorry

Sign #1 of 3. Remember what I said. That's all I'm saying. And if I say it now I will get the ban and after it's over SHOULD get it revoked. But I want to see the next two signs. That is all.

You and Rabid hit the nail on the head. Until we rid ourselves of Bracky, we're playing with a handicap. This whole "Mullen can't close" ******** is ridiculous when he isn't allowed to play by the same set of rules as his counterparts. I think he's done a damn good job, considering his worst enemy is his own compliance department.

Bama, GA, MSU, Fl St. and one other SEC (I think FL). This is 100% true. Now, Slive can protect them from the SEC schools if he chooses, but Fl State doesn't have to play by Slive's rules.
