Wrong! Our NIL is in outstanding shape. Or so I’ve been assured by a few posters in this board. **
So I’m right or wrong?

even if we are in outstanding shape it doesn’t mean we are top 15. That’s idiotic.

This is my biggest concern at State.

A football staff that is clueless and front office. But that's all just my guess based on field results.
This is what he's referring to, the staff and administration. We need a staff with attention to detail and a plan they know will work. Then they have to acquire talent and sell their plan. The players will see right through a staff with a lack of either above.

All we have to do is find a billionaire who cares about athletics, a competent head coach who can organize a modern program and attract quality staff, an AD who pays attention to the common fan, and a university president who doesn’t like micro ablation.

JOB POSTING: Billionaire Investor (NIL Czar) — Mississippi State Football

Location:
Starkville, MS (Primary) | The Portal (Secondary) | Your Yacht (Permitted)
Reports To: Dawgstudent
Employment Type: Full-Time Benefactor (W-2 Optional)

Role Summary
Mississippi State University is seeking a visionary billionaire investor to serve as NIL Czar, charged with transforming “We’ve got heart” into “We’ve got receipts.” This role is responsible for funding, attracting, retaining, and occasionally re-recruiting the same athlete three times in one calendar year.

If you believe in higher education, lower defenses, and the power of a well-timed seven-figure “relationship-building” deposit, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire talent through strategic NIL allocations, including “brand partnerships” that look suspiciously like direct payroll.

Required Qualifications
  • Net worth: $1,000,000,000+ (cash preferred; crypto accepted if it clears before Signing Day).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience funding high-variance initiatives such as space travel, biotech, or TV deals.

Mississippi State is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of background, as long as your bank account is greater than 10 digits.

Cuban's first substantial gift to Indiana football/NIL was in December 2024 - after Cignetti showed he clearly knows what the 17 he's doing.
It's earned and then proven. Expect Indiana to be a repeat contender as long as Cignatty is there.

Yes people want us to dump a bunch of money into Lebby. Punch where you should be or above before you start begging for money. The fact that they want more money despite having one sec win in two years is assume. Especially considering the sec appears to be down. Go find a G6 guy that wins. Or a retread that has always won but got fired for not winning enough for the elite or wanna be elite. Stop spending money on projects or coordinators that need to figure it out. Let them figure it out at g6

I imagine the deal to keep Cignatty was aided by Cuban, he is all in now, it is what he lives for getting hyped up on how amazing he is.
