Mississippi State has a very, very good team. They played LSU tough;
everybody they have played, they played really tough. They haven’t lost a game
by more than 13 points. I have a lot of respect for this team. They are tough
defensively and we knew this defensive front was going to be very tough to
block. I saw some stuff out there tonight that I had never seen before, and I’ve
been coaching for 40 years.”

Thats just the most frustrating thing about this whole thing. We are a good football team. We just have to play great teams. You put us in any other conference and we are a threat to win it. Thats why everyone is so frustrated now because we know we have a good team but still cant get wins. We expect to win games now. In the Croom years we knew we sucked so we didnt get as frustrated about losses. We expected them.

if it's defensive... I don't see what he could be talking about... The closest thing I can think of is how we have hybrid DEs that can play OLB at times, but that's nothing entirely new... I doubt he's talking about those plays with Favre too but that could be a possibility.

Probably referring to the Favre cluster F formation - which I liked.

I thought we had great game planning. I think we had a chance to have a chance to win. What I mean is if we don't totally piss away plays that are there to be made - like kicking FGs and either having #10 run past the QB for a TD or score a TD from the 4 yard line...then we have a lot better chance to compete and maybe win.

Our staff put us in position to have a chance to win. Instead, we fumble snaps to the punter and **** like that.

"I saw some stuff out there today, I've been coaching for 40 years, that I've never seen before, so it's all a learning experience. I guess we'll figure it out next time".
