Interesting quote from Stricklin on the transfers.

"Unfortunately we've known for a while the roster was going to be in the situation that it is in. You can sit there and bemoan it or get yourself up and work."

Now do some of you want to believe the posters who have been saying Hood has pretty much had 1 foot out the door for a long time?

another quote that simply makes me cringe is "the right way" coming from another of our new coaches. I know, I know. It's not their fault that Crooms ruined that phrase for every coach at MSU in the next decade or so but damn it, I hate hearing it. Hopefully Ray knows how to do things this way and actually win.

If they knew for a long time, it's even more interesting that brooks was retained. I really thought Marcus was the up and comer and heard that he was recruiting well. I guess brooks has more to offer than just getting hired to keep five stars players around.

This may also be the reason we didn't/couldn't make the "sexy" head coaching hire most fans would expect for a basketball program that's had the kind of success MSU's had in a power conference like the SEC.

shouldn't it be on ray to convince hood that the ******** is over and we aren't going to be the trainwreck we've been as of late?

well I guess it's technically his job to TRY.. but making any judgment about him based on his inability to get him to stay is crazy

Basic common sense tells you that the hire was too far out of left field for it to be anything but intentional.
